Other than the obvious wire issue, how do you know which side is bad? The side that locks up?

I have the same question. Every time I cycle my key, my right side locks up for a couple of minutes...Then goes back to working. Where's the Tcu display located?

Multipart answer: Deere does not and cannot flash or reprogram/update the transmission control unit (TCU) like you might do on a modern car. They don’t have a device that gives them more info than you have by just looking at the codes on the TCU display. Part 2: You may have to run the re-calibration procedure. This has multiple steps that have to be done in order, and within a time limit. You will need a copy of the procedure for your S/N machine to make sure you go through the steps correctly. You will need a few hundred feet of flat ground to run machine. Good luck!
