I’d probably look at the local tip for another quantum engine ( they grow on trees we’re I’m from . Those discharge are usually an optional extra worth half the price of the new mower so good find.

Agreed. The discharge chute was worth it’s weight on gold on this one. I’m still in shock that it was only $10 for the whole lot. Thanks for watching!

I love mine, but the blade clutch is starting to make a awful sound, I don't think I can spend over $300 on a new one?! I'd love to find one like that for parts! 😉 I'll buy that clutch from you!

I guess the clutch could fail at anytime 🤞 I never had any reason to mess with it to find out exactly what's going on, just started making a horrible noise from clutch area, hissing, raspy, springy sounds when first engaging, then works/sounds normal 🤷 where 'bout's you live? I'm in Idaho, Whatever price you want plus shipping, not sure if it would be worth or not? Correspond through eBay, Facebook, or?? I don't have a Facebook account but wife does. Thanks again!

@@ChrisXOutdoors just picked up a nice jx75 off craigslist, has the Kawasaki engine which in my opinion is way better than the Briggs, at least better thought out. Guess I'll keep an eye out for a ja65 parts mower or just part it out? I don't think it would make sense to spend over $50 for a used clutch.

So sorry I missed your message a couple weeks ago. Did the Kawasaki you just get have a clutch?

@@ChrisXOutdoors yes, basically exactly the same as ja65 but with Kawasaki engine, not sure what's different about clutch but according to Amazon it's $200 cheaper, I'll have to investigate. I'll probably just run this one till it doesn't 🤷

That engine was toast. Not worth fixing. A good quantum engine will come around soon enough on a rotted deck. It took me so long to find one of those back discharge chutes.

The side discharge chute would probably be like $30-$40 on that alone so that was worth it to me 😂 thanks for watching John!!
