I love seeing these old machines still earning their keep!

Sounds like it's not hitting on all cylinders. Sounds like it's missing on 3 and 4.

It is a two cylinder tractor

@@themadmailler haha. That took me a moment too....I'm an Allis Chalmers Man so 4 and 6 cylinders for me, then I remembered all these deere's were 2 cylinders 😅
@kennethnevel32632 жыл бұрын
Only built with 2 cylinders, running just fine.

What are you using the fill to build up?
@themadmailler9 жыл бұрын
+fcarp1685 there's a hump in front of the house because when the house was built the septic tank was covered rather than buried. we're using this fill to smooth off the hump and make it a gradual grade, and also cover the numerous stumps and rocks and shit in the front yard so we can have a veggie garden. Oh, and you like seeing the Ford, i remember - I tried using it and it's worthless! it makes more damage than anything else. The dozer is invaluable and easily the best machine i own. When the Case is finished, i think the Deere will come apart for a thorough rebuild/refurbish.

Nice machine. Are those the pads that came with this machine or are they loader pads?
@themadmailler6 жыл бұрын
they are original MC pads, stamped steel rather than the common forged style seen today. the MC's and JD/Lindemann crawlers had those pads.

Hoss, when they (anything) starts boiling over, that means SHUT 'ER DOWN until you get it fixed before you blow a head gasket, warp or crack the head, or worse yet, the block.

this model doesn't have a water pump or a regular radiator cap. the steam is totally normal when you run them in the winter time
@dembrowi_n_c.5111 Жыл бұрын
Have you ever worked on a 1.6L john deere twin cylinder?
@MrBigKRob7 жыл бұрын
Why is it steaming. Is it overheating or is that normal. Mine gets up to 230 on the gauge and then I shut it down. Not sure why the cooling system doesn’t work on mine correctly.
@themadmailler7 жыл бұрын
i had a loose fan belt, so it wasn't cooling properly. Also, i think i had just topped the machine off with water, so some was coming out of the overflow tube.
@themadmailler7 жыл бұрын
it's also possible your motor or rad have rust or hard water deposits, hurting water flow and heat transfer.
@MrBigKRob7 жыл бұрын
Thanks...probably will throw something up about mine here soon.

Those are un pressurized cooling systems and without a water pump, you will kill this tractor too!

Getting tired watching this push 1/4- 12 blade and only making another pile, I’m gonna go have some coffee in my oversized,overstuffed chair, I might come back tomorrow and see if it’s finished, might.👍👎🏻👍👎🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@themadmailler3 жыл бұрын
it did it eventually! any more of a blade full and the tracks would spin. this was really dense material. the tracks are also fairly worn.
