Just bought one. Had a 2015 D140 previously. Haven't used it yet, but thanks for saving me the time of being bored to tears reading the manual lol. It is almost identical to the old D140.

Hello Jason, nice video about the 140S, just got mine delivered this week and was ready to use it today (Friday 4/12/24) but it did not start. 2 questions for you, does the battery come charged from the store? and my other questions is about the gas tank, besides the gas cap, I noticed that there is another cap with 2 little hoses attached to it, and I was hoping you would make a comment about that when you showed the gas tank, but there wasn't any comment about it, and in the instructions manual there is no explanation about that specific cap. I hope you could help me to figure it out. Thanks!!

Hi Joaquin, thanks for watching the video, and congratulations on your new John Deere! Yes, the battery should be charged upon delivery. Are you not getting spark, or are you not getting fuel? Without more details it's hard to troubleshoot why your tractor is not starting. The other cap next to your tank is part of your fuel system - take a look at the parts diagrams here: www.deere.com/en/parts-and-service/lawn-tractors/100-series-owner-info/s140/

I bought a S140 Saturday. Runs great but misses a lot of grass stems. 45 minutes of the time on it is going back over my yard

Thanks for watching, hellacool. The S140 is an entry level model designed for an economy price point. If cruise control is an option you'd rather have, step up to the S220, or consider the S120 model.

Check to see if your blades were installed upside down, the geniuses from John Deere installed 2/3 of my blades the wrong way and I had to re-install them the proper way.

Don’t lean on hood or grill !! Made out of Plastic!!!! Mower deck fastened all 4 corners to tractor . Mower over hump, u just scalped your lawn .
