The manual lift mechanism is a pain. Take it from someone who tried to live through it for a season - purchase the electric lift upgrade ($500) and never look back!

I own an e series mower , and the Deere 44" snowblower. I cannot recommend the snowblower, the mower works fine. It is very, very, hard to attach the snowblower. The directions are lousy, the nuts/bolts are in positions very hard to see and tighten. The lever to raise/lower the snowblower requires tremendous leverage/strength. The chain on the rear tires are also very, very, difficult to attach. Very disappointed in this Deere product. Buy a separate snowblower instead. Again - great mower, ridiculously bad snowblower.

Disagree. I own it for 3 years and now I can install the blower in 1 hour. Use your brain, not your force and you'll get used to it 😉 chains are even easier, 20 minutes and I'm done. Good luck!

It's their regular 42" attachment. Bought in a local JD store.

John Deere only lists the frame attachment but not the actual blower.

Is anyone having issues keeping the belts on? My belt likes to fall off the big pulley now even though there's a guide on it what the heck is going on does anybody know? I've Burned through two as well

Does your pulley even tension the belt?

It's very tight when I put it on the engine pulley.

Two solutions - check for proper routing or check if you have the correct belt. I ordered a replacement on Amazon after mine broke and this one works great. Power Drive Belt M131766 （1/2 x 122）
