John Deere X485 Fuel Pump Problems

I'm having electrical problems. No voltage to fuel pump or ejector. Ware can I get a technician repair manual to identify wires and electrical components?

What model TM are you needing? X485?

Hard to give any advice without the symptoms.

I forgot to mention that I earlier replaced the fuse holder. The old one was in bad shape (Melted) and had a 30 amp fuse in it? Should have been a 10 amp fuse. Since there was a short on the red wire, the large fuse prevented the short from blowing the fuse, but eventually melted the wire conductors. The wire became the fuse.

exactly same thing happened to me with my x585. Quit running, no fuel. Turned out it was a bad fuse holder. Took me a while to find it (I am no mechanic) but ended up being a cheap fix.

@@jeverhart99 That fuse holder does seem to be a common problem.

Hows it goin I have a 2555 john deere n most of the gauge cluster don't work. I've tried changing cluster but that didn't solve problem. Some say there is something being grounded out but I can't seem to find it and my fuse panel isn't labeled. Can anyone help

First of all, exactly what is not working? I do not have a TM for a 2555, but the cluster looks very basic. It sounds like it could be a battery problem to the cluster.

@@gotdeeres sorry been so long to get back. I have a ITSHOP book but is limited on helping. The fuel gauge is always stuck on full and tachometer doesn't work

@@gotdeeres I've looked over fuse block and any other connections nothing seems burnt or corroded. But going by my ITSHOP book the wiring diagram is slightly altered and some wire colors aren't in the wiring chart so gets a bit mind boggling

I saw on a couple forums that this problem is fairly common. I guess the wires get pinched by the side vent?
