I have an X590 and love it. Thought a lot about getting a zero turn but went with the X590 due to its versatility. In addition to mowing, we use it to tow a dump cart, spreader, sweeper etc. Also, the EFI, push button blade engagement, HST, and power steering makes this machine very wife friendly. She just has to turn the key and it goes, cold or hot. No choke, levers, gears or clutches to mess with. Great machine!

It is a nice mower and def user friendly for most anyone in my opinion. The EFI is def a great feature. Gonna look to have that on my next z-turn purchase down the road. Thanks for watching.

We bought the X590 because we have a grade on our lawn to mow and this machine climbs and cuts like a champ. Great machine. Your right they are pretty loaded for a tractor. Great video. sub'd also

How steep is your grade? I just bought a new X590. Moved last October to a new home. I had a X350 and rear wheels spun up hill and slipped downhill, not fun and very scary. Can’t wait to mow next week with new X590!

@@patrickthorsell2633 Yes ours is pretty good grade, from the bottom of one part of our driveway to the first half is 150 ft. elevation, it's a pretty good grade. My wife likes to mow and she uses the traction button when it's trying to slip but our sales guy came over and tested the grade and made the recommendation based on that. That tractor goes anywhere. Real happy with it.

Just turned over 100 hours on our x590 at the farm, and LOVE it. Ashamed to say how many acres we are mowing a finish cut with it. Thinking of a second one to help take some of the load off, and split the duty. We are just not zero turn people.

My father-in-law isn't a zero turn guy either, but he said he was gonna try to learn to help me more😁🤔. If you can spend a little more, you could go with an x730 with 60" deck. Best of luck and appreciate you watching!!

@@joshslawnlandscape9935 I have the 48 deck, and no issues since new with the level or cut. I hear ya re the x730...been looking at the x750 diesel. It fits my needs to a T, but THAT PRICE! Maybe one day.

I have the 2022 x580 54 inch cut that have 75 hrs on it but I haven’t had any deck issues at the moment

It's a nice mower but I don't know what has been gone by on with the deck. Never had issues with a JD deck on any mower. Guess I got the one with the ghost I. It....lol🤪🤣🤣. Hope you continue to have good luck with yours👍💯

Think we got it. Leveled the deck with a different leveler that goes off the blades rather than the edge of the deck. Doing good so far. Thanks for the info though👊.

Whats your thoughts on predator blades vs high lift blades? Which would be better in wet grass? I can't decide between the JD x590 or a JD x390 54in cut. Powerflo bagger available for both. Nice mower and I do have a buddy that uses a X580 54in for his lawn business

I think the blades depend on your application. If you are gonna bag a lot then the high lift would probably be better. If you are just gonna cut and chop up the grass like I do, predators no doubt and you can still bag with them on occasion if need be. The predator blades I think would be better in wet grass in my opinion. I would go for the 590 over the 390 to get more to. It will give you more blade torque for cutting. Thanks for watching👊💪!

@@msclecarcrzy I also think you would be better served with a z920M (get a suspension seat) with the 54" deck for the money. Only around $1k difference on price and you get a much sturdier machine. 😎💪👍

What’s the maximum amount of acres you’d recommend mowing with the 590 before upgrading to a larger mower?

I would say with the 54"deck like this one...the 2-3 acre range is probably a good top limit (my opinion). Then might be a good time to look into going up to a 60"zero turn. I say that for the time savings on bigger properties I feel you would get with the Z turn. Thanks for watching and subscribing

I have the X570 54" deck 2020 model. It takes me about 45 minutes per acre. At that mowing rate, how much time do you want to spend? In order to improve that rate, you need to go with a wider deck and a faster travel speed. The X570 has a top speed of 7.2 mph for a baseline. Many of the ZTR machines go faster than that. Hi Josh. Enjoying your x590 vlogs this morning. I see you have the 1025r for the bigger jobs, but I’m wondering if you ever considered getting a Little Green Monster FEL loader for moving gravel and dirt piles, digging etc. I really don’t have the need for 4x4 such as x738 as I’m mostly cutting just under an acre of grass and pushing 6” snow at most. I’m trying to get a consensus if the x590 with electric actuator at 8k is nearly as good as the x738 with hydraulic pto??? Any thoughts?

Haven't thought about the LGM and I haven't used the x590 for anything other than mowing and bagging so I can't really say how it performs with pushing, etc. It does seem to pull my spreader (100lb hopper) fairly easily though. I have used the 1025r for pulling shrubs, etc. and it did excellent, but it is def a little overkill maybe for just an acre of grass😜. I can't speak to the x7 series, but between the x590 and the 1025r, the 1025 is far better as a multi-use piece of equipment to me. I think you can get a 54" deck for it so it might not seem too large 😁. Hope my rambling was helpful...lol🤣🤣🤣

These john Deere's x590 is hype like most John Deere's are I did a Spec investigation on the Craftsman T240 T260 and the T310 the Craftsman T310 has the same transmission as the x590 Deere..the Deere has a 4 gallon fuel tank all 3 Models of the craftsman have a 3.1 gallon fuel tank but that's where it ends the T310 is heavier 650 pounds x590 606 pounds the T310 is also longer and taller the John Deere has the Kawasaki Engine 4 years or 700 hours witch ever comes first..if you mowe Acres of land mathematically you can rack up 700 hours in just over two years. now to the craftsman Kohler 7000 series engines comes with a 3 year Unlimited hours Warranty so reality is Kohler has the better warranty...both have a 11 gauge steel decks 54" the craftsman's are reinforced steel decks...once you get into 12 11 10 gauge steel you have strength the Craftsman's are just under $3,000 the Deere is $6,000 now my point with all this said tell me and give me a valid answer not opinion how Deere justified the $3,000 dollar difference? And let's not forget the craftsman also has a 5" turning radius damn near a zero turn and these craftsman's are built better than the ×590 Deere's this is why you always read specs before you buy any Lawn/Garden tractor

I can only speak on my experience. First let me say that this mower is a solid machine. I know evryone talks down on JD and the cost but my experience is you get what you pay for. Support also accounts for some of the cost. I have never heard much good about support for warranty from the big box stores and support after the warranty. Being able to purchase the mower, have warranty handled and availability of parts all from one location accounts for a lot. Biggest thing for me is experience. I cant speak to the craftsman mower quality, I have always known them to be solid average residential mowers. My experience with the JD mowers I have owned has always been quality. I appreciate you comment and opinion and thank you for taking the time to explain your thoughts. Hope to hear from you on other videos as well.💪👍🎯🇺🇸

@@joshslawnlandscape9935 like what was said compare the specs the craftsman turn tight series T240 T260 T310 are larger heavier their is no justification for that x590 to be $6,000 you paid for the green paint because quality wise it's not better than the craftsman turn tight

Susan, respectfully I am not sure you looked at all the spec's correctly during your "investigation." The X590 weighs 805 lbs. according to the John Deere website with the 54" deck. The X590 uses a much beefier K72 trans vs. the T310 which uses a K46 trans (similar to the X300 Series John Deere). Craftsman's data is hard to find. John Deere publishes all their data right on their website. The X590 has larger 24" rear tires that are also a HDAP for better traction on loose ground vs. the 22" turf tires on the T310. The X590 has hydraulic deck lift and hydraulic power turning - something the T310 does not have. The X590 has an EFI Kawasaki power plant - considered by many small engine shops to be the best. Kohler is not what it used to be and is what is in the T310. If the decks on the X590 and T310 are both made of 11 gauge steel, then that is were the similarities end. The Deere has adjustable anti-scalp wheels. The Deere also has reinforcements around the perimeter of the deck to keep from bending in the deck. From what I can see the Deere has a much beefier deck and I am sure the cut quality is also better. For the money the T310 is a fine machine, but if I was to invest in a heavy duty lawn tractor that will last me two decades, my money is on the Deere. It will likely be what replaces my old 82 Series Cub Cadet.

Yea...i stopped using the gauge from under the seat and purchased a blade leveling gauge and it worked perfect. No issues since leveling it off the blades😜👍. Thanks for watching.
