Thanks for posting this vid. My wife and i were at a John Deere dealer yesterday looking at mowers and liked the 590.so today i am researching it on you tube.before pulling the trigger.Looks good so far.Do you mind if i ask how you like it. BTW if you have any more kids you are going to need a bigger tractor I was wondering where you were going to put the dog.

I love it. We put over 260 hours on it in one season. We ended up buying a 1025R a few months ago to help spread the hours. We actually have 5 children, the other two were taking care of the chickens! I have quite a few other videos of the X590 on here. We ended up with about 2 inches of snow for the whole year, but I upgraded the weather enclosure to an Original Tractor Cab also.

I;m curious as to why you tilled only in one direction. Why not cut down travel time by doing the other half of the bed in the other direction? Loved seeing the kids on the tractor reminded me of my youth ( along time ago) and it won't be much longer before you can set them to doing that job by themselves :) .

Mx H The main reason was to only have one end to work down after the east/west rows were completed. Also, leaving the single end on the west side, it allowed perfect drainage down the hill to feed into the pond.

Do you has the 590 had any model changes. Will a used tiller fit on new models?

I apologize for the late response, we’ve been away from KZbin for a long time. We sold this unit with our property. If I remember correctly, John Deere changed the rear on the newer X590’s. Did you happen to get a response back from your local dealer?
