A month after I gought my first X595 from a dealer in Kentucky, I found another one an hour away. I bought it immediately.

On this design of air filter cover - could you simply pinch the end of the air entry nozzle to kill a runaway engine condition? It just stuck out to me, and having seen a few diesels runaway, I just though I need a good strategy to shut down the engine in an emergency... any thoughts on this?

Yes, if you plugged the air entry duct it will kill the engine. The fuel shutoff solenoid automatically shuts off the fuel to the engine when it is turned off.
