I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. kzbin.infoUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

Great video, and I appreciate it as I just bought one. I love it!! I couldn't quite hear what he said but I think he said to grease the blade units every 20 to 25 hours, but it did not mention the engine oil change interval. And are the rear-drive hydraulics serviceable? Thank you very much for the video though!!

Does this mower have a hydraulic oil system? I just wanted to make sure if yes or no because idk where to find it and all my other mowers have one
@aliren61183 жыл бұрын
If they could have put a fuel low indicator in, they could have easily put in a gauge instead. This is just being cheap for the sake of being cheap.

I have a question. Say your mower will not crank. You decide to loan it on your trailer to see what’s wrong. The mower is in gear and you cannot push it up on the trailer. Is there a way to take it out of fear to manually push the mower?
@zeroturn70914 жыл бұрын
Did you figure it out? When you say in gear are you referring to the hand brake? Did you also unlock the transmission tabs at the rear of the engine?

Two screws at the back on your left and right. They are in a L shape Grove just push them down to release the breaks on both side.

I need help ASAP! Please please. My zero turn lawn mower handle is stuck and won't go back into the slot so it wouldn't stop. I got it to stop by turning the whole thing off, but it freaked me out. Do you know how I can fix it?? I just noticed there's a little L shaped metal piece that must have came off of something. I don't have social media so I'm just going to KZbin to hopefully get help
@scorpion6031 Жыл бұрын
Did you ever figure that out ? Mine just did that
@naturegirl8248 Жыл бұрын
@@scorpion6031 yes, I had to take the seat off and the black plastic cover that goes over the body and stuff off and put the "L" shaped locking pin that had fallen off of the hydraulic pump arm back in.

How's this mower with hills?
@zeroturn70914 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend it for hill terrain. You really have to feather the throttle offset or it’ll get away from you. These mowers are notorious for getting stuck if the turf is even semi moist. The rear tires are aggressive and will leave ruts and divots, especially if you pivot on a dime. Depending on the size of the lot a tractor may be a better choice. Edit: If you’re stuck on getting a ZTR then get something with a roll bar. I had to go with this model due to a narrow fence opening.

Now that we’ve established that you’re in Australia, have you tried that Cavli blade, made by an Australian, for high weeds & thick grass? I would love to hear your opinion of the blades, & which blades fit the JD540M. They would show the JD’s in their best light, if you made a video of mowers & blades! So far the blades have only been shown on a Scag, Cheetah, very brilliantly! I really would like to see how the blades do on the John Deers! They sound like a great export product, with so many mowers in the world, and I wouldn’t like to see JD missing out on a real Charmer! Thank you, for your time!👍🏻👌🏻☑️
