Thanks for showing how easy to get more height... Just bought a z355 and already had ramps. Now to get a mower jack

Bud all you need is a metal folding chair. Lift the front end on to the seat of the metal folding chair. Super easy
@harrigro3 жыл бұрын
@@honor4thoseb471 yes that's a good idea! Or even a couple cinder blocks

One could make ramps cheaper than 65.00 or that jack for 300. The ramp work good enough for this guy

My jack at Harbor Freight a few years ago was on sale for $100..

Here I thought I was a red neck: been doing this for a while. Car ramp thing. Do not have the fancy lift, handy man jack for front end - jack stands, for you know safety. 😅😅😅

Sweet for hose clean out !

Good point +Formula Firebird! I spent some time scraping the underside of the deck as the debris was all dry and crusty but I will have try flushing it with the hose next time I have it up on the ramps and lift. Another idea for a video!!!

Wow!! That work on riding mower also

Thanks for watching +Jason Myjak! Good question, I would think that this would work for a riding lawn mower as well.

Good to see this works. Thanks for the vid. Just bought one of these and had the same issue with the back end hitting the ground. I also have a hitch which doesn't help. FYI maybe you already know but you can lock the safety pins in place before you jack it up and they will self index as you go up
@OurBigHouseintheLittleWoods4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and the comment @bworks1968! Here is a link to another video we have demonstrating an idea we received from another viewer that has helped to gain additional height and remove any concerns in regards to the rear hitch hitting the ground while allowing much easier access to the mower deck - kzbin.info/www/bejne/apKvc6mIgchjfJI Also, thanks for the reminder about the safety pins. We do typically lock them in place now before using the lift but did not know that you could originally.

Looks good to me, great way to service the transmissions also, I just ordered the ramps

Thanks for watching and the comment @jack Kepics! It is just about that time of year again to get our John Deere Z540R back out again and will need the ramps and lift to put the freshly sharpened mower blades back on. Hope this works as well for you as it has for us!

I believe I'd weigh the jack rear end down to stop that lifting as it raises.🤔

I got a better idea for you that I use all the time! Put your car ramp on your trailer ramp gate( just one of them) an pull it up! Now scrape your deck and change blades it 2 min! 😅😅😅

There is a video showing a jack & leaver to help lift the front of this mower. It’s a u-tube video. “The Tractor Factor “.

The fact that you were able to remove the lift at the end without removing the pins makes me wonder if you could have kicked it under the front tires in the first place without having to remove the pins
@OurBigHouseintheLittleWoods5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and the comment +Daniel Goodall! I know it does not show up in the video but I actually tried a couple different ways to force the lift under the front tires but unfortunately I was not able to get the leverage I needed to push it under. However, as you noted it was easy to remove it from under the tires.

I'm considering this model. Do you use the deck wash port after every mow like Deere suggests, or do you jack it up and scrape it periodically? I'm just wondering if that wash port really works or is just some gimmick. I really hate scraping out the deck on my current mower!
@markrush50135 жыл бұрын
the wash ports only gets certain areas clean...i went back to scraping
@papawd39915 ай бұрын
@@markrush5013 I totally agree, wash port doesn’t remove severe buildup.

Thanks for watching and the comment @TRICK-OR TREAT! Fortunately we have not had any issues with our ramps and the tractor does not weigh a whole lot (compared to a vehicle).

I have Rhino “plastic” ramps. Going on 8+ years, zero issues.
