I used to sing my kids to sleep with this beautiful song back in the early 90's. Im 54 years old now, and my children are all off doing their thing. I now sing it to my grandchildren, via video chat! It's not the same as having them cuddled up next to me as there's 250 miles between us. But thanks to the wonders of modern technology, I still get to spend precious time with them.

@@brianforgie7724 No need for the Ed Sheeran hate. John Denver wouldn't approve. Sheeran is an accomplished song writer who can entertain a stadium full of strangers with nothing but a guitar and a microphone. In that sense, he's quite a bit closer to John Denver than you are. And before it is all said and done, he may well have written just as many beloved songs and be regarded by future generations in the same light after his death as John Denver was.
