I love this. A Japanese audience willing to sit in the rain for John Denver and they all know Country Roads. ❤️❤️❤️

I cannot say why or really understand it but this song always brings me to tears. I am a ex-sailor who has spent a lifetime on ships and oil rigs, a biker and ex-rugby player so am used to toughness but "Sukiyaki" is so moving.

John Denver had one of the most amazing natural singing voices that has ever existed.

John had a pure and beautiful voice. We miss you John. RIP.

I agree, but at the 7:30 segment with Sheena Easton something was amiss with their duet. Bad key? Bad song choice? The two were a natural duet.

John Denver just a natural voice with no effort singing, a sad miss on this little blue planet where all of us humans live, if only this planet could live in peace.

The beauty of SUKIYAKI is, you don't have to understand or know the words, to enjoy the song. The music stands on its own,, as a masterpirce of modern music composition

The crowd is sitting out in the rain and not seeming to mind it one bit. Just great to see John Denver & Sheena Easton shifting gears and right into Sukiyaki. Great show, even with the rain falling down.

I saw John Denver on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson way way back!! After he finished singing on stage and sat down next to Johnny Carson to be interviewed, Carson asked Denver to sing a song from his seat, as he had his acoustic guitar alongside him. Well,,, I was shocked,,,,, he sang with such power, and clarity of voice, and his vibrato was STUNNING~!~!~!~ When he finished the song, the entire audience simply burst into applause, and so did I as well~!~!~!~ Just as when Buddy Holly died, the music died with the tragic plane crash that took John Denver from our lives, all across the world ..... literally~!~ RIP J.D. ~!~

What he said is true. 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' has to be in every karaoke machine in the world; which means the entire world knows the song...and being from West Virginia, it makes me smile. I miss John Denver. His philosophies and lessons about the earth and all living things seems to have been forgotten. That's sad.

if u know the sad quaint moving tale of Japanese singer Kyu Sakamoto, renown for Sukiyaki song (of course the title is different in Jp) perishing in an aviation accident.... then you probably feel as I do how strange and moving it is that John Denver is here (lovingly) singing that song, and shortly thereafter also died in an airplane accident. Sigh. Kyu and John (et al) R.I.P.
