How fortunate to have lived at a time when God bestowed the most beautiful human into our collective hearts and spirits. John represents the very best of humanity and one can't help but believe he was divinely inspired and even Heaven would pause and bow to his spirit. John was infinitely more than the creator of beautiful music and lyrics that touched the fabric of our hearts, he sowed the seeds of truth and brought awareness to issues many of us were impervious. John entertained large audiences where there was such a love and respect, you could feel the positive energy that permeated the entire auditorium. His presence alone is like non other I've experienced in my 64 years, everyone felt inspired and so joyful that his beautiful music was only a means to an end to bring this presence of peace and a sustaining change within our hearts. I doubt there will ever be another John Denver and as I look back upon my life, how blessed to have lived during the most magical moments of life due too the nexus of John's life and the incredible sustaining transformation in the lives of millions. God's Infinite and Eternal Peace John! Bobby

Bob, what a wonderful and sentimental summary of what I too experienced through John's music. I was just starting high school when JD got his big break and I was captivated at the emotion he was able to bring to life through his songs. I waited with anticipation for his albums to be released and I had them all. The world lost a gentle soul when he passed away at such a relatively young age.

@@RichD22554 Thank you so much, Rich, for your kind response. You and I indeed share an affinity, and I can't think of anything I love more than playing the acoustic guitar and playing and singing John's songs. John's close family member and I recorded Late Winter, Early Spring, and I will post it here on KZbin along with some other songs I play fingerstyle. Rich, thank you, my brother, and I always wish you God's Peace! Bobby

so many of my friends could not understand my affection for John Denver,,,but I said listen to his lyrics and listen to his voice..different, but wonderful.. his love for nature, people, and his lyrics tell how he feels about life, nature, and love.
@geoffreyhodgkinson92635 жыл бұрын
I had the same feeling, we JD fans are as different as JD was and we understand his words because we listen to them, so many people would not even hear his words and even if they did they would not feel the way JD fans do. Hard to explain but that is the way I see it. The depth of meaning, the depth of feeling and above all the transparent honesty in his songs together with music to die for.

I was very touched by your comment Irene. You are an amazing woman. I agree with you that true love never ends and JD would agree as well. As he sang, “I don’t believe that true love ever ends.” Unfortunately, our loved ones can hurt us more than anyone else can. However, they have their agency to make their own decisions. To forgive someone after they’ve wronged or hurt you so deeply, as you’ve described, is a form of godliness. Stay strong! Know that God is with you and will make things right by you in the future.
