Great interview Ken. I love listening to John talk. Great questions as well. I share his love with paper material in cones. I have Living Voice speakers with same material and sound is just so natural and sublime.

Thank you for doing this interview! I’ve been dreaming of a pair of O/93’s for some time now…the O/baby’s might be more in reach!

Always an interesting channel. Prices seem very high for a 10” cube finished on only one side and sporting a surplus tweeter.

My listening room is about 19 X 13. So the O93 should work.

Super informative interview Ken, answering so many of my pending questions about the new speakers. Thank you! The only question that I really was hoping to get resolved was the impedance spec of the new the O’s - also 10 ohms like the bigger O’s? I think John would agree that spec is even more significant than sensitivity when considering amp pairing. Maybe we get to find out in Round Deux? Btw - loved some of your “tough” questions like why would someone get an O/Baby vs an O/93. I suspect room size would be the main criteria for most consumers. Again, well done!

Fern and Roby uses a similar fullrange driver for their speakers. Also sourced from Seas, afaik..

Thank you for the video to both of you. Until now, I was determined to get the O93. Now it is a question for me of the interaction of room and speakers, whether the O96 Junior would be the better option. Ken, how is the listening situation with the O93 in your apartment (room size, distance listening place speakers, distance of the two speakers, distance back wall etc...)?
@kenmicallefjazzvinylaudiop64553 жыл бұрын
I have the O96 in a room that is roughly 10 x 15. The speakers are about 6 feet from my listening position, a little more than 3 feet from the front wall and may be 5 feet apart.

Hi, Ken! So… Could you tell us what the logo in the upper right hand corner of your videos represents? I guess I could try to screenshot it and run it through a reverse image search, but, gee, that seems like a lot of work! Love what you’re doing here on KZbin, and, also in your writing! Many thanks! 👍👍

That’s very nice of you to ask Chris. The logo is the C out of my name that appears in the beginning of the video. I don’t always use the little intro but the logo is the C taken from that letter in my name. Thanks for watching

@@kenmicallefjazzvinylaudiop6455 Thanks for the reply, Ken. I did the screenshot / image search thing, and all it got me was “bookcase,” (LOL) even though I’d cropped it down really tight, so I guessed that it wasn’t a standard corporate logo. 😉😂

I thought the B&Ws looked cool as hell. It was about isolating the drivers. I had the 802 series 3 in the late 90s and liked them.

I listen to classical orchestral music, loudly. I can't afford anything out today. How are these products "affordable". In fact, why are they so expensive? Is it the cost of the components, or because a bunch of stupid status seeking people with credit cause the price of things to inflate, leaving music lovers out of the equation and coke snorters using this as eye candy "furniture" at a business party. There certainly are social justice issues that rise way and above my beef for price gouging audio, but that doesn't turn the volume of my disrespect down any. Critics have raved that the Orangutan is spectacular for "Herbert von Karajan/Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra" lovers, but I'll never know. These speakers are 16g in Canada. It really pisses me off. Especially considering that 90% of people who buy high end stuff don't understand one single squat of music. They're just looking for jealousy in the eyes of their guests. Pigs.
