John Doolittle is a husband, father, Navy SEAL (Ret.), and CRO at KAATSU Global.
Mike and I were fortunate to work under John's leadership while deployed to Afghanistan back in 2010-2011. He is hands down one of the best leaders I had during my time in the Army.
In this episode we touch on so many things, such as the importance of trust within a team, and the differences in leadership between the military and the corporate structure.
Also, hear a VERY cool story about how he honored his good friend, mentor Neil Roberts. Neil was the first combat fatality within the SEAL teams post 9/11.
"JD" is an incredible man, friend, and mentor. You will absolutely love this episode!

Faded away from Traditional Catholic background during first year as an E-1/2/3 and CG Academy time. After a few times of being a boarding officer as a new Ensign, I was completing some paperwork in my stateroom and seriously pondered what will I do if I actually have to killed someone or someone killed me. Latin Masses flooded my mind and a calm set in. I think I made peace with God. Never had doubts on using deadly force after that. Before every boarding, I made a point of asking the team if they are ready to kill or be killed. About half weren't ready and it affected my trust in them. Don't think the CO appreciated my forthrightness. The legal attitude is "Shot to stop". Killing was frond upon. Fortunately, only fired warning shots with a 5" and M2. Many new E & O's think the military is just another job that pays for school and travel. A "Warrior" mentality must be stressed and reinforced.

All great points, Richard... I was surprised (in a GREAT way) the direction we went about our collective faith. Honestly, that was my favorite part of the interview!!! -Doo
