GasTank was an English television show that aired between 1982-1983 on Channel 4. Hosted by Rick Wakeman and Tony Ashton the show featured a mix of interviews with 1970s musicians and impromptu performances where the guest artist would join Rick and Tony with their house band in playing re-arranged versions of their classic songs, or entirely new pieces created for the show.

The connection between Rick Wakeman and John Entwhistle, besides excellent musicians, both were Free Masons! Pete Townshend reviled this in his autobiography, that at John Entwhistle’s funeral, there were members of his Lodge (even he was not aware of this and they were friends since childhood) in attendance and Rick Wakeman has also acknowledged the he too is a Free Mason. How cool!

Freemason's do a hell of a lot of charity work & raise funds for many good causes. They often get a bad press, but in most cases it's totally unfounded. Those who abuse their position are black balled & thrown out ! Those who know nothing of Freemasonry, are often the spreaders of much misinformation & myth !
