At least top 10. I would say it has to be top 5 for me.

@@vkmusic2727 he starred in his own "comedy" tv show called Bobby Dazzler. And made guest appearances on a few other fun Aussie TV shows where he always played a comedic role. He also had his own tv variety show Farnham and Burns which was mostly singing but full of funny little skits as well. Plus he was a regular on Hey Hey its Saturday and a number of other variety shows where his interviews and performances seemed to always have some kind of crazy involved. Even when he was just there to sing his latest release ...he'd throw in some sillyness before or after just for fun. He even did old MacDonald's farm once which was a hoot. I think comedy was his original way of overcoming shyness. Or to protect himself from people laughing at him if he accidentally made a fool of himself so he'd do it purposefully

Ok, I’ve got to admit that this John journey has given me a much greater appreciation for him, he really is much more than I ever thought he was. I just thought he was ‘old people’ music when I was growing up 😆 OMG I’ve just realised I AM the ‘old people’ now 😳

There is another recording of this from a different night and Lisa stitched him up in revenge on stage. It took him quite awhile to get his laughter under control so he could continue with the song. They are all extremely close friends and its magnificent how friendly they all are to each other and other singers and performers.

I feel like this performance shows the incredible skill and experience singing together that goes into making something look and sound so effortless. Every single note is in sync, which seems like it must be really challenging considering that what they're singing is so detailed. Thank you for the analysis of the lyrics, I really enjoyed it. It's wonderful hearing how much the song means to people in the comments. Does anyone else feel like he grabs her hand to reassure her that he's stopped mucking around? 😂

Love the way break down the lyrics and add your own interpretation. Just like it is subjective and open to any interpretation you want .I have listened to songs for many years and still didn’t the full breath of the words . So thank you . I was more of a melody chaser. Keep up the top Aussie music it goes deep as you already understand .

Such a bloody legend❤.. It’s after 9pm where I am in Australia 🇦🇺 and I’m at work in the mental health unit and one of the patients told me this song helped them when they were struggling. the power of music is phenomenal.. if you get a chance can you react to cold chisel or Jimmy barnes when they were younger.. if you get a chance to see Jimmy barnes singing “knocking on heavens door” it will blow your mind ❤

So amazing that you have that connection with your patients. I respect you so much for what you do. I had no idea Jimmy did that! That's like my top 10 favorite songs ever. We are about to have a blast with that one hahaha. Thanks for telling me. Sending love and blessings to you and your patients. 💜🖤

@@vkmusic2727 Thankyou.. good music helps patients calm down.. the clip you want to watch is of a group of aussie musicians/singers getting together to sing “knocking on heavens door” at a Memorial Day for a young aussie musician (Andrew Durant) who died. Jimmy is very young and sings last with Renee Geyer and he blows everyone away with his power. Broderick Smith, Mal Eastick, Mick Pealing, Richard Clapton, Don walker (from cold chisel on piano) are also on stage and Ian Moss the other singer for cold chisel starts the song off..

Such a beautiful song and amazing duo. Such a powerful song, lyrically perfect. John’s here, although a bit older, still has so much power and range in his voice. Starts off joking then straight into a serious song, what an amazing talent John really is. Great performance.

If you want John funny try Granada with Anthony Warlow at the Main Event Concert. You will also find John and Olivia Newton-John singing Please Don’t Ask Me at this concert. John sang it as a single first but after losing Livvie we prefer the duet. They are 3 beautiful people.

♥️♥️♥️♥️ Perfection by John, Lisa & the musicians. Could you please react to John's cover of 'Help' (by the Beatles) with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. It is John's own arrangement of the song that he first performed back in early 1980. John Lennon saw it back then, & commented that John's arrangement was how he always wanted the song to be performed. It is so powerful. Thankyou. Best wishes from Australia 🦘🇭🇲
