They were just messing around... Anthony also has a very versatile voice... he can do standards/pop/operatic... he is just a joy.... he also battled cancer as did Olivia who was the third party of this concert Main Event.... John thinks he's a comedian...so working with Anthony who thinks the same was just perfect... I was lucky enough to see the concert live and it was just awesome....

Many people do think that but John had at least 3 different vocal coaches I know of.. every singer has training no shame in it but yes I know three but have been told there were others.

@@Dr_KAP True. I know someone who learned for a short time from the same teacher, who feared John would blow out his voice. Hey, Frank Sinatra had serious lessons. I think John dipped in and out of lessons, finding out how each teacher could help, then running with it and his own individuality.

I watched this video before and this is one of the hardest Spanish song to sing, you need to have good pipes otherwise you will sound like a rooster with a bad cold. These guys killed it and the touch of comedy...🤯 mind blowing!!!

Anthony Warlow is a trained opera singer who has become one of Australia’s most famous musical theatre stars. He is an absolute legend, known for his lead role in Phantom of the Opera. He starred in Fiddler on the roof, Man of La Mancha, Les Mis. and many others shows and has also performed on Broadway. He also is a great mimic, you heard a bit of Frank Spencer😂. This show was called The Main Event and also starred Olivia Newton John. John and Olivia sing a beautiful duet called Please don’t ask me which you shouldn’t miss. Also Anthony’s Music of the night. There are too many highlights to mention them all. All on KZbin. I was at the show and it was absolutely fabulous, the three of them were amazing together, so much fun. RIP Olivia💕

Charlie, I've seen Farnsey 17 times live, and was at this concert "The Main Event". This is my equal first, favourite Farnsey night of my life. This whole night was full of laughter, tears, ooooooo's and ahhhhhh's. American singer Richard Marx has made a 4 part series on John Farnham, and his ability to perform to perfection in 16 separate genre's - I don't know any other artist that can say the same. John is a rare phenomenon that won't be seen again. I'm so grateful to have been witness

Goosebumps! The only singers that Farnsey never had to hold back to duet with is Anthony Warlow and Jimmy Barnes, and maybe Olivia Newton John. Farnsey and Barnsey were so interested and generous with duetting with other singers. They're all great music. I just notice when I pay attention that they both hold back their full belting volume so as not to overwhelm the other singers on stage. I think one of the reasons (apart form liking each other) that Farnsey and Barnsey showed up to duet a song at each other's concerts so often, and did one-off projects with each other (like When Something Is Wrong With My Baby), was that they could really let loose. They admired each other's voices so much, they give it their all when together.

This was my favourite concert of all time. It was so much fun. Although a also really loved the one with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra...but didnt get to see that live. John is probably the most versatile singer in the world. Every different genre he sings is right in his wheelhouse and he sounds like he was born to sing it. Next time check out something a little bit country. Like Chain Reaction...or Have a Little Faith

What you miss when you watch in this song and many others. Anthony is Opera and the lead in all of our best stage musicals like phantom. The main event concerts toured for 3 months with John, Olivia Newton John and Anthony Warlow. After Anthony finished some pretty bad cancer treatment. What you have missed up until now is John’s generosity and kindness with others on stage. John and Livvie were there to get Anthony performing again regularly. Why would John want to shine in Anthony’s section? That isn’t who any of those three were and are. This whole concert is on KZbin. I know people who booked twice more after seeing it. John is naturally funny and a Showman, this was very funny and moving. Imagine if John had ever had a voice lesson, they probably would have ruined his gift.

I think that anyone who’s ever been a fan of Michael Crawford would appreciate the humour of Anthony mimicking the voice of Frank Spencer so well. “Some Mothers Do ‘Ave Them” and “Phantom Of The Opera” were Michael’s two best- known roles. I’ve seen reactions to this “Granada” KZbin clip by people who aren’t from British Commonwealth member countries. They don’t seem to recognise the link with the voice of Frank Spencer. 😂 It may be just that there’s a general age difference from those who haven’t followed 1970s British sitcoms.

This was from The Main Event concert featuring John, Anthony Warlow (incredible Aussie classic singer who was the lead in Phantom and Jekyl and Hyde amongst others) and our dear Olivia. They all performed their solo hits (listen to Anthony's "This Is The Moment), performed duets and in trio with a mix of ballads, rock and fun stuff. If you love John, I highly recommend watching The Main Event. John does have musical theatre experience. This particular performance was just meant to be a funny skit with Anthony trying to "educate" John in "high art" music, with John playing the buffoon to Anthony's "cultured" operatic demeanour. It was great fun from start to finish. This shows a bit of John's true personality as well.

Check out Anthony warlow at the end of the 25th anniversary edition of phantom of the opera live at royal Albert hall I think it was singing with 4 other phantoms and the original Christine Sarah Brightmen. Anthony is a stand out from that performance.

I have seen this performance and I was so proud that Anthony was included in such great company. What an honour for him to be chosen to share the stage that night with such talent when there have been many others who have played the Phantom. This musical is my absolute favourite and I see it every time it comes back to Melbourne, the most recent being last month (Jan 2023). Anthony has always been the best in my opinion. 😘💕🥰🇦🇺

John Farnham can sing in over twenty genres. Adam Stolfo, an American fan, has made a four-part series on this, 'John Farnham Can Sing Anything'. This was a funny 'taking the p!ss' song. John Farnham has had little, if any singing training. Anthony Warlow is an Australian trained, opera singer and his outstanding career has been in musical theatre. Please check out Anthony Warlow singing, 'This Is The Moment', from the musical, 'Jekyll And Hyde', at this same concert. It is spine-tingling !

Anthony is a world renowned opera singer and he had his fight with cancer as well John and Anthony are good friends as very similar personalities it would be a buzz for Anthony to hav3 fun with it As you know opera pretty serious so they dont get to do this type of stuff It was a full show with Olivia newton John as well singing with Anthony then John and all together The one with John and Olivia is something special song is Please Don't Asked Me As we lost Olivia end of last year from cancer as well
