Good news just in this morning after 10 days of hearing nothing. John is “doing ok and on the road to recovery” after being hospitalised for a respiratory infection (John had half his jaw removed late last year due to a tumour). While the news today is cautious, it is positive and he’s definitely a fighter!!

Took a Beatles classic and made it his own, the late John Lennon once said this is the way it was written to be sung this way. When John covers you're song its not yours anymore as John kills it everytime truly amazing. John sung this song near the end of a 2 hour concert and yes in the 80s this was done. You can feel every lyric he is singing hits you to you're core. One of the best male singers on the planet. Great reaction again Mudd. Some singers are good then you get great singer's and then you get John Farnham hes on another level in another Galaxy far far away thats why he is affectionately known as The Voice and cant wait to see his new documentary that comes out on May 18th called Finding The Voice but as I dont live in Australia hopefully we can buy it on DVD at some point around the world for fans that dont live in Australia as only beeing shown in cinemas over there. Another great reaction thank you, thank you 🇬🇧🇬🇧 fan

Love John Farnham since I was a kid. Ihad a serious crush on John Farnham when I was a teenager. One night my parents asked me to babysit my younger siblings because they were going out with friends. I thought it was some sort of double date but found out when they got home that theyd gone to see John Farnham live. 😢😢😢 I was devastated and went to bed crying, my Mum especially knew how much I loved him, she came to my bed and handed me a book they had gotten from the concert. I grabbed the book, gave Mum a kiss and hug and said goodnight, rolled over and hugged the book and cried myself to sleep. When I woke up I said to Mum that I was happy that at least someone from our family had seen him perform live. Unfortunately I never got to go see him. It makes me so happy to see new people being introduced to his voice and songs, thats enough for me. Sending much love from Queensland Australia 🦘💜

You down the rabbit hole now Alice. Johns back catalog is huge . He ranges from Black Dog all the way over to Opera with Anthony Warlow , Grenada, and Tom Jones My Yiddish mama. Then you can check out his duet with Jimmy Barns , When something is wrong with my baby, and then follow that to Cold Chisel, When the war is over and Bow river. You want to do Aussie music from the 80's you got heaps to work with.

Thank you for playing John's music - he recently had radical surgery to remove half his jaw due to cancer, and is back in hospital with respiratory complications, so we're all thinking of him. John's vocal range is impressive and he's arguably the most versatile singer on the planet. He has sung with many of the world's greats and was the first singer approached by Queen after Freddie died. But it's his humble humanity that has forged his name into the Aussie consciousness; he's just an all round nice bloke. John always over-delivers but this concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra was next level. I was on an endorphin high for a week. The entire concert was top quality but there are a few powerhouse songs I recommend you react to that will bring you utter joy: *You're the Voice (the song that gave John the name The Voice); *Playing to Win, which he wrote when he was in the Little River Band; *Long Way to the Top - his cover of the ACDC song which just has to be seen to be believed with the enthusiastic backing of the orchestra.

This is a Beatles cover song. Check out Black Dog a Led Zeppelin cover. Unfortunately it is only audio. It was a mic check warm up song. John can sing a genre. So glad a tech recorded it. Otherwise all John's reaction must be live. It's a Long Way To The Top, The Voice, Burn For You. Also a duet with another Aussie legend Jimmy Barnes When Something Is Wrong With My Baby. That'll get you started on this rabbit hole.

Please do more john farnham, this was recorded in 1988 at his Whispering Jack tour & this was the final song from a 2.5hr concert.. his vocals are so strong he doesn't even need a microphone... There's not many singers today that have that vocal range.. Please try these JF songa: *duet with jimmy barnes "something wrong with my baby" *Chain reaction *you're the voice *playing to win *two strong hearts *the time has come *see the banners fall *I can do anything *in days to come *that's freedom *cover of ACDC "it's a long way to the top" from the same concert.. To name a few.. he has a 50+yr back catalogue & please always react to john LIVE..

@@muddmuzikk always watch John live! He is an amazing entertainer and the GOAT at singing. ( only 1 exception to live performances is his warm up song by Led Zeplin, "Black Dog". As far as I know, he never performed it live. It will blow your mind! Found it a few months ago,, and it's amazing! ) "Farnsie" is an icon in Australia. He is also recovering from jaw surgery. Will probably never sing live again, but, we are so fortunate that he is still with us. The whole country wishes him well in his recovery.

There is a huge library of John's song, a lot of hits over 5 decades; from when he first started performing in the mid 60's, and even upto a decade ago. John has the vojce and ability to tackle any genre, from pop to ballads along with musical theatre into adult contemporary and rhythm & blues. Some notable duets are with the late Olivia Newton John singing Please Don't Ask Me from The Main Event Concert, with Jimmy Barnes from Cold Chisel singing When Something is Wrong With My Baby from Jimmy's Soul Deep concert; then with Anthony Warlow of The Phantom fame singing opera with a lighthearted performance of Granada, he has also sang with International artists. John has just recently been given the all clear after battling with oral cancer over the last year. Can't wait to hear The Voice again. Welcome to the rabbit-hole.
