This song sounds 100 years old. Fogerty used to say he has never been good at writing love songs. Can't say that anymore John
@sadlymusic7 жыл бұрын
John is a genius and a kind person... He say right saying that wrote never a love song... I'm his estimator by all my live, and laterly i wrote 400 songs, almost of love, for soul felt melodic harmony, in beat or even in hold pastoral, i believe best in history... But i'm nothing as songwriter musicist refferred to him.
@sadlymusic7 жыл бұрын
I was 777 up... Generally american people don't like melodic, and often even they don't know what it mean... Look some my examples for.. "Last Moment (Titanic)" or "Drops Of Rain", or "Little Maiden".. For classical melodic (however my best are not published.. even in beat sound melodic)... Bye ! So...John say right about..!

BluCowboy Wow! John Fogerty can write them, play them and he can damn sure sing them. His voice can get right into your bones like no other. They all wished they were all around talented as John. And, mostly they wish they could sing like him. There are lots of greats like Eric Clapton...but IMO John is one of the super greats! Keep whipping and spurring John!

If I was a gambling man Never would'a let you play your hand With a broken down cowboy like me 'Cause you never can trust your luck He's bad news in a pickup truck That broken down cowboy like me He's played every card he's got Had a good hand, but he messed it up With that bum-around, tumble-down heart Saddlebags full of pain Carries 'em around Just like a middle name A losin' streak waitin' for dark Oh, he'll string you along Sing you a lonesome song But he'll wind up alone Again No matter how hard you try Never going to let you get inside That tumble-down, broken down heart It's a tough riding rodeo Mean horse threw him Long time ago A broken down cowboy like me But the way I feel about you Wouldn't want that horse To hurt you too A broken down cowboy like me Oh, he'll string you along Sing you a lonesome song But he'll wind up alone Again If I was a gambling man Never would'a let you play that hand With a broken down cowboy like me

John is awesome. He's such an eclectic mix of musical genres all packed into one unique package. One of the all time greatest American singer, song writer, guitarists. He has that hauntingly high voice like the lonesome high harmony of the best blue grass tunes and he uses it for anthems like this or for kick ass rock and roll. Keep on rocking John cause there ain't nobody else like you.
