Translucence + Drift Music. My favorite album of all time. A true gift to humanity.

I wish I could meet every person who has a positive reply here. When I read some of the comments being put here it tells me I am NOT the only one who gets it. Music to mind? It is an incredible thing for heartfelt people who totally understand the soul.

I lost my brother 11 years ago today and we played this song at his funeral. I've always been an admirer of Harold Budd. When I listen to it, it opens up the grief and despair again like a painful wound, but also it enables me channel my sadness meaningfully.

Beautiful during a snowstorm, with a hot cup of fresh pour-over coffee and a bowl of Medical, after a good bowl of breakfast oatmeal---let the mind wonder on the 'transcendental-plane' of the Other World Experience, perhaps you too shall find your Spiritual Awakening. Thank you Mr. John Foxx and Mr. Harold Budd for so many wonderful moments over a cup of coffee.

I discovered this album a couple of years back. I now listen to it quite often and in different situations. Listening to it while driving in town is very cathartic - it gives you a nice feeling of isolation from the chaos outside.

Feels like I'm old and I'm reflecting over the deep grief and love that I've felt throughout my life. I had to come to the comments just to see what others felt from this song. 💛

This song is really one of the most intense I've ever came across. It gets under the skin and stays there forever. On my list of songs to be played during my cremation....

I love you Harold. A bit of the best here. Slow down. No, not like that. Put everything down. This is the first track on a journey. Keep your clothes on, let nature get naked. Feels good don't it?
