@@janetlieb2507 I couldn’t agree more and it’s the best volcano movie ever made Just like Twister is the best tornado movie ever made. Although Volcano is good. Ya there’s no denying Dante’s Peak being the best volcano film I have ever see. It drives me insane that this movie got 26% on Rotten Tomatoes. Absolutely insane!!! This film is so damn good. Everything about it is absolutely terrifying. The opening freaked me out so much with pierce Brosnan and his girlfriend driving in the volcano storm raining lava rocks. What scared me the most was that it got the girl and he is absolutely worried and scared on watching her die in pain from the lava. I mean this is how you make a terrifying volcano experience opening.

This is a GREAT film! Ok Ok Ok the science isn't 100% there, but show me a film where the science is any better! That's right you can't. And show me a film with better pacing, buildup, characterization, effects, score, you name it, in this genre, that's right, you also can't! This is a genuinely good film.

So much better than Volcano! I saw this as a kid and it just blew me away. Sure some of it must be nostalgia but I still think it is a great movie. Too bad that it is pretty underrated. Also, the soundtrack is fantastic!
