Watching this breaks my heart a little.💔The genius of Galliano, fashion editors, buyers and writers furiously taking note versus celebrities no one care about in the rows and gorgeous talented professional models versus non-talented reality show offspring. Grateful I got to experience it!❤

When the photographer says "Helena" almost wispering, and she gets to hear him, so she decides to turn to give him the picture, and she smiles, oh my good God that Smile. What an exquisite collection. I love when artists have tremendous bravery to project their idea into such visionary fashion. Some of these pieces are so contemporary. I own one of those gorgeous obis!!! 😍 I bought it at Nieman Marcus' "Last Call" way back in the day. But I'd no idea it was from this collection when I clicked. Galliano was my favorite designer at the time. Just icing on the cake that my favorite model, Christy, is here too (along with all the others of course...Kate, Helena, Naomi, Niki, Linda, Shalom, et al ! ).

This is Anna Wintors favourite fashion show of all time. John Galliano made the clothes on a shoestring budget. He had hardly any money and so most of the clothes were in black. My favourite show is by John Galliano Spring Summer 1995.

CREDIT to the generosity of Sao Schlumberger by lending this hotel particulier mansion to John Galliano to stage one of his early shows for FREE . He was a struggling designer then. It was Anna Wintour & Andre Leon Talley who persuaded Madam Schlumberger . . .

Anna & Leon convinced super rich Sao Schlumberger to lent "for free" her Hotel Particulier in Paris rue Ferou to save JG. The models did the show "for free". Vogue was doing a spread the next month with Nadja Auermann and Anna thought it would be a good idea she does the show. JG did not like her at first but was in no position to bargain. This show secured a new investor who backed JG and allowed him to carry on his career. "for free" means they got paid in clothes.
