I used to run a nightclub in London and John would come with his enoaurage with a rolled up check book to pay to get in - I would say put it away it was an honor to have them all - he was and still seems to be a beautiful kind and deep person. He had his problems and looks like he has worked hard to overcome them. He is a treasure and I love he is sharing his treasures with us and esp that he is still the sweet genius i knew 30 years ago!

About 10 years ago I bought the scented candle that John Galliano created for Diptyque. The scent is unbelievable, so creative, like nothing else, the smell of the gods, really ! :-) Somehow his house reminds me of that scent. We are so lucky to have this genius in the world.

He’s always had such a WAY….I remember that article in Vogue where they were interviewing Kate Moss for her wedding and she had said that she needed a “story”, that he would always whisper something in her ear before a show. He told her something along the lines of “ you have a secret, you are the last of the English roses”…..his creativity is unsurpassed and so uniquely his own…brilliance living!

The first thing I was thinking about was the huge difference with Yves Saint Laurent Interiors, a sign of the changing times, but equally true laboratories for their creativity. Love them both! The contrast between the yellow walls and the blue tiles was a novelty for me. Only Galliano could think about it.

John Galliano's Fashion Show in Fall / Winter 2007 is particularly unforgettable for me, a dark dream that I cannot quite put into words. In Galliano's world you can be anything as a woman: sweet, dangerous, sad, cheeky, dreamy and dark, all at the same time. It was a masterpiece!

6:45 The upholstery on those two chairs in Madame du Pigeon's Salon makes my heart beat a bit faster. I'm a gardener, I love all the botanical touches, & especially the way Galliano has dressed every room in lush greenery, abundant fresh blooms & luxurious bouquets. Moving thru these rooms is like strolling thru a particularly glorious & beloved garden.
