Listen to Sammy's podcast. There are 2 sides to this story. Gotti betrayed Sammy in Sammy's eyes because he wanted to offer up Sammy so Gotti could go free. Which you could also see as a rat move. But what I was trying to say is listen to what that reporter says is the reason that Sammy ratted, he says that Sammy always tried to act tough and put on a tough guy act but he couldn’t last a year in jail. Nowhere in that interview do they talk about “John was trying to weasel his way outa the charges, that’s y Sammy flipped”. Sammy is a liar and everyone who doesn’t understand the simple RICO act fell for his lies. The trial was a RICO trial. It’s impossible to blame everything on one person and the lawyers knew that. Gotti never told Sammy to take the fall. He wanted everyone to go to trial. Gotti was pissed that his son took a plea deal and didn’t go to trial.

Gotti but was solid as a rock I don’t try to glorify him but as far as being a gangster he was as ruthless and solid as they come people forget he had done been to prison twice before the Rico trial gotti didn’t care about going to prison and if your a street guy that’s how u would have to be

I respect Gotti cuz he took the time never sang like a canary. Sammy just wasn't as tough as Gotti and that's the bottom line no matter what Sammy says. It doesn't take a tough man to kill another man. But it takes a tough man to not rat and sit out your time even if u die in prison.
@kowalski37693 жыл бұрын
Gotti was the worst thing to ever happen to the American Mafia. His ego got everyone identified and busted. Making his crew come down the the Ravenite every week to kiss his ass got everyone in trouble. Gotti gave up his people in worse way than Sammy did in my opinion. The stupidity that Gotti had was his downfall. I can't respect an idiot. I don't respect Sammy either but John's leadership got them all busted. If John had kept things on the down low like true Cosa Nostra, his reign would have lasted longer.

the legend of Gotti (dead) is mesmerising people like you forgetting he leave a trail of pain, suffering and misery to many many people...and yet you keep blaming Sammy!! It was their life, they knew what they were into. would you die for someone to walk free...come on!! Base on those tapes Sammy and John Gotti were heading to their own end, gotti would have kill Sammy by the way he was badmouthing him in those same tapes!!

It was not John Gotti that brought down the mafia. The entire RICO trial took place before Gotti assumed the position of boss, and almost eradicated the leadership of the mafia.

@guidoluzzi662 жыл бұрын
Impossible. It was a RICO case. Gotti was pissed his own son took a plea deal. He wanted him to go to trial. If you look up how RICO cases work you’ll easily see through sammy’s lies. There is no way Sammy could have taken the fall and Gotti walked. That’s just his lame excuse sammy uses for people who don’t know anything about the RICO act. Everyone involved goes to prison. You can’t pin anything on anyone else. An associate jay walks and the boss goes to prison lol

Gravano had a reasonably privileged childhood/upbringing in comparison to John Gotti, there was only one of them ever dying in jail and it was never going to be Gravano, he rode the bus then jumped when asked to pay the fare.
