Saw him about 10 years ago at a festival. I was not ready for him back then, and did not appreciate him, as I should. I started listening to him last year, and I am seeing him this saturday, in a small venue. I look so much forward to it! He really is one of the biggest artists of our time.

John is so amazing, I mean you could absolutely tell that he's rugged, he went through a lot of difficult times, he went through hell in his life and he survived. His life wasn't perfect. He messed up in the past, he sleeps around and he parties a lot to the point of self destruction. Then, one day he decided to act and change his life for the better. He's definitely a good role model for all of us. We could really learn a lesson from him; that we have the control to change our life for the better. I hope that he's happy now and found his peace in life. On a side note, I wanna hug John because he went through so much, man. Totally off-topic but that lady is so nice, she's so warm and amazing it's like she genuinely cares. That's what we call an amazing interviewer!

I love how he channels so many different feelings, so many different sounds. I can totally hear Rick Wright's lovely piano lines through this; nice nod to 70's singer-songwriter/prog rock. John Grant forevs!

When I woke up today, the air was very strange I couldn't feel my skin and there was evil in my bones I tried to speak but found that I didn't have a voice It was a prison like the one you would find in the twilight zone And I feel just like Sigourney Weaver When she had to kill those aliens And one guy tried to get them back to the earth And she couldn't believe her ears So I was taken or I went towards what was west Where the ground was dead and struck out at the giant sky The sky was black and filled with tiny silver holes And it was there with a frightened voice that I began to cry out loud I feel just like Winona Ryder In that movie about vampires And she couldn't get that accent right Neither could that other guy And I feel just like I am on Jupiter The one that looks like rainbow sherbet But it doesn't lend itself to life And I haven't finished yet
