I wasn't expecting that. I'm crying here. It's like someone just caught a huge chunk of all the things I've been inspired by or been disgusted by and made me who I am. Gosh. And the song? I can't tell you how much I love this man's voice. Thank you.

Such an incredible video, and a very accurate take on the ongoing battle between people and the push for the US to be a fanatical religious theocracy. Much needed. Thank you Mr. Grant, again and again you impress.

John was raised in a very religious family. On her deathbed, his mother told him that he was a great disappointment to her.

I’m all for the message in this song and video. But we need to be careful when looking at old photos of people of the same sex being physically affectionate. Today seeing such a photo, we would almost always assume they’re homosexuals, but in the more distant past such photos were mostly intended to be, and mostly seen as, only showing close friendship - not sexual attraction or romantic love.

Well thanks for being the voice of so called truth and righteousness? (Or just a buzzkill). Truth be told we have always existed and will we always exist! Until the rise of patriarchal tribal religion, who's 1 god always seems hungry for blood and who made weird laws to increase the tribe we were accepted and feared!! We were the Shamans, The Priest(ess)hood, the Bards and Saints. BTW I was honored to now a 95yr man who served in the Navy in WWll. He was queer then and all his life and he said the love between men that you say was brotherly affection was just that... but the brothers were having sex😂

@@chazsatyr1725There was nothing in my original comment saying that queer people or photos of them didn’t exist in the past. Of course we existed, we always have. But in the past straight people were less uptight about showing affection with each other than they are today (though in some cultures this hasn’t changed thankfully). Cultural mores change - a great example are all the phallic charms you find in Ancient Rome. Modern people would see those as some kind of sex or porn thing, but to the ancients they were good luck charms.
