If you think this isn't that good you have to watch the time where he's interviewing John Cleese. He's on fire there and it works so well. Night and day compared to this here. I guess he just did this program to those damn bankers and let them have it including that song in the end.

Eli Plunkett He isn't very good at delivering his lines, his character are poorly written and his humour isn't original, thought-provoking or even slightly funny in any way. Sometimes people get airtime without deserving it and from my perspective he's one of them.

You can have your opinion but I couldn't think you were more wrong. This guy is an incredible writer and performer, if his sense of humor isn't for you that's okay, but it doesn't mean he isn't a good comedian.

+Eli Plunkett A good writer, perhaps. I understand the things he's going for, it's not clever, original, witty or hilarious but it has the ability to ignite a laugh. A good performer, not even close. He's trying too much to be some kind of modern Andy Kaufmann, but he's failing to see the layers that andy uses in his performances. He's just not a genuinely funny person and you can see that when he's "being himself" on some talkshows where he's trying to force some jokes into a conversation. To me your statement doesn't add up, it's like saying that a soccer player that has the ability to run fast and jump high but isn't able to even once hit the ball is still a good player. Of course humour is a matter of taste, but there are things that you could see objectively. There are some comedians, performers, actors, musicians, artists,... that I don't necessarily like but where I understand that they're really good in their craft and have a major influence on other people. They have found their own way of working and are often innovative. To me this guy just isn't one of them.
