John J Boland heading out from Bay Ship, March 27, 2022

The Boland leaves Bay Ship heading North to the turn around in the bay of Green Bay with the assistance of Sarter Tugs. Once turned around she heads through Sturgeon Bay and out to Lake Michigan where she proceeds to the Soo Locks.
The Boland was built at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay in 1973.
She is 680' long with a beam of 78' and a depth of 45'. It is owned by American Steamship Co.

She was facing North to start with, the cannel isn't wide enough in front of the Shipyard.
