oh boy you people are blindingly naive... if you ask a triathlete to compete against the best 100 meter dash sprinter in the world who would win? One man has divided his training and skillset into three things while the other is the master of one and that one thing is what they will compete in. Bruce lee said himself, its better to spend hundreds of hours at practice for one thing then spend less time dividing practice on a hundred different things

Team McGregor have already won this fight. They walked right into the boxing world and set up a massive money making fight with the #1 man to beat. Boxers have to work their way to the top of the list to even be considered for a shot at the title, and McGregor side stepped the whole process. This is why most boxers are bitter about this fight and have very few kind words for McGregor. I can't say I blame them because boxers work hard for their chance to make it, but this is business, and only the strong survive. If you have what it takes to make it happen, go for it, and that's exactly what they did. The whole team will share in this victory, and they will go down in sports history as pulling off the single largest upset in boxing, regardless what all the so called experts and purists say about it.

Tim Campbell well thought out n written. I agree wit everything u said. I would modify, that it would not only b the biggest upset in boxing but in all of sport. Atleast in my lifetime, n im old. Im not a huge fan on McG but certainly not a hater. Great level of respect for his work ethic fight iq,movement, and the all around genius of the unique approach n style in which he attacks the game of fighting. some pretty big "geeky" difference they both punch is like saying mo farah and usain bolt both run so mo has a chance in a 100 meters sprint against bolt. yes they are both combat sports but come on 35 years of training for only boxing vs someone competing in ufc. If you think the sports are similar in such a way connor can compete in the ring then you must also hold the same opinion on floyd in the octagon the simple fact is every single person including boxing and floyd fans would admit connor wins in the 1st round in the octagon so why cant you realize if connor steps into the ring with one of the best he will get schooled

If they are gauging their success by sparring Paulie, then they are as stupid as I think they are. Paulie at his best couldn't go with Floyd. Floyd knows this dude can't land a significant blow that is why he is even considering 8oz gloves. He didn't accept smaller gloves against Maidana because he knew Maidana could touch him. Floyd is no dummy. If he thought for a second he would lose this fight he would not take it. There is no amount of money that would outweigh an "L" for Floyd. Floyd will school McGregor and knock him out in the process.

This, another excellent interview. B in, not only is Conors coach smart , he's humble. That is an excellent quality. His words on Paulie were gracious, kind, and sincere. That he would speak of an "enemy" in this way shows character, and character will always tell you more about a man than his I.Q. To believe in your man doesn't make you dumb, and the stereotype about the Irish has never been about intelligence, it's "All Irish Are Drunks", which isn't true. Get your stereotypes straight

People saying McGregor has 0% chance of winning this fight will be the first ones making up excuses if/when McGregor wins..... "The fight was fixed" "Floyd took a dive" "Floyd is almost 40, Conor would have never beat him in his prime" "Conor is way bigger, it wasn't a fair fight" etc. etc. etc. How many people said "there's no way Buster Douglas could ever beat Mike Tyson" before that fight? And what was the outcome.... a 42-1 underdog in Douglas (the betting odds for Conor right know make him way less of an underdog than Buster was by the way) knocked out Mike Tyson who at the time was 37-0 and in his prime. So everyone that keeps harping on this fight, shut-up already! The fact is no one knows for sure what will happen until the fight happens. I do know one thing for sure though, all of you will watch it even though you keep trashing it!............. 49-1 Lets go!

I like the note he made about having a huge bank account: "you can only drive one car at the time. You can only eat one meal at the time."

Hate if you want to but no one represents mma quite like Ariel.. The best reporter we have, ever notice how anyone gets big in the sport outside fighters Dana tries to destroy. Even the fighters that were big ppv draws were tore down by Dana after they've had there run..

“I came from academia,” said Kavanagh. “I have a degree in Engineering and I wanted to be a math teacher actually, maybe like (former UFC middleweight champion) Rich Franklin. (Laughs) I didn’t play sports at a high level personally, and I didn’t do any coaching and I didn’t have any Sports Science degree or any of that. But I started coaching a number of years ago at a very high level.”

he's in a good mood. conor is full of bluster, but coach K has always seemed realistic and has a good track record of saying things that turn out to be true, so im a little more excited that this may be a real fight...

Great to see Ariel doing what he does best. Ariel can't be divorced from MMA and it wouldn't be the same without him and his interviews and that is a fact.

I'm completely rooting for mayweather but you can't not like this dude. He is speaking what he believes. I can respect it. Looking forward to seeing Mayweather give their whole team a lesson in world class boxing though. Boxing lady paulie and the fact paulie went 12 rounds should be the real question? he looked so slopy and out of shape im surprised he wasn't knocked out. Yet you're going to knock out Mayweather! lmao Not going to happen! Time for you MMA people to respect these great boxers. I respect and love the MMA too but you fans are getting real stupid with your comments. I wish there was a mutual respect from both sides. Any real fighter from what ever style would have the warrior respect.
