Yeah it has the legendary spud armor and even has Spudcat as a companion that drops items. Even tested it for sheep before it was released.

Cat Eye gives you an extra life, that's why you revived when you died during a boss fight. Luck increases the likelihood of heart drops from enemies and likelihood of Spudcat dropping hearts when you get hurt, also some items can give you extra stats if your luck is high enough.
