Very on the fence when it comes to John Landis. In regards to Vic Morrow and 2 children being killed on his movie set. Twilight Zone The Movie. He was ignorant and negligent. And he was not held accountable. He broke laws and rules on that movie set. So I am very on the fence with him.

I’ve heard great things - he paid off Brit actor Rik Mayall’s student debt so he could be in the slaughtered lamb scenes, for instance - and less great tales. I think he’s pissed off a lot of ambitious people who then told tales on him - but with the Morrow incident, looking over many sources, Spielberg left him in the shiit on that.

Fun Fact.. Vincent Price recalled that he and actor Peter Lorre viewed Bela Lugosi remains in his casket wearing his Dracula Cape from the film. He said upon seeing Lugosi that Lorre kknown for his own moives of terror quipped that maybe they should drive a stake into his heart just in case. Price did a trio of films with Lorre with a bit of black humor and the gothic comedies The Raven-Comedy of Terrors had several other notable actors in them too. An upcoming actor Jack Nicholson was in The Raven as well as fellow horror icon Bogus Karloff who also appeared in Comedy of Terrors along with Basil Rathbone. Vincent Price would deliver the eulogy for Peter Lore who died the year they made Comedy of Terrors and in it they played undertakes trying to drum up more business by murder. Price heartily embraced TV early on and did guest appearances on many series including the Western Have Gun will Travel to the campy iconic Batman as the villain Egghead. The Studio System he began in often had iconic actors in roles dictated to them and even an icon like Humphrey Bogart had to take a turn as a mad scientist in Return of Dr X..🎃

The fact that when he still talks about the tragedy, he speaks so matter of factory without tears or shaking, and even flashes smiles at times, is telling about Him. Guys come on. Fuck that guy seriously. Money and fame should NEVER mean you don’t have to face responsibility for your actions. And like others in the comments already said , the way he just chuckled in court when two children died ? I am a father and couldn’t imagine having that happen to me and mine . Furthermore, when I looked into this, they even said they had two American child actors that were going to do it, but because of restrictions on stupid shit like that, they skirted around it and got those two children that are no longer with us to do it because they were not American citizens, so those children we’re not restricted by the same guidelines, now, please if I am incorrect about that please correct me somebody ,but that is definitely what I heard when I looked into this. So you knew it was wrong you got some foreign children to do it, and they lost their lives. His whole demeanor, from start to finish was despicable to say the least. Now PLEASE let me say that I LOVE ABSOLUTELY LOVE this channel and will continue to support the both of you . I think we ALL here know that neither one of you meant Any harm or anything like that , but idk guys maybe not people like this . that all being said I TRULY do look forward to more videos form yall !!! So great to see this John Landis interview. "American Werewolf" is a benchmark in horror and my all-time favorite werewolf movie. Those transformation effects still look great today! The crew was making things up as they went along, fabricating things out of rubber and other material. It was truly fascinating to see the behind-the-scenes documentary on the DVD extras. Another Landis feature I still love is his segment of the "Twilight Zone" movie. Yes, the one that ended in tragedy and even the director on trial. It's in my opinion, the best part of the movie, but it's a shame that we lost Vic Morrow and the two children in what was really quite a preventable accident.

Rick Baker rocks! Also, the Vic Morrow scene was filmed at Indian Dunes in Santa Clarita CA. It's next to Magic Mountain

@@mfburns7909 Indian Dunes was where so many movies and TV shows of the late 1970s and the '80s were filmed. I have a book on the Incredible Hulk TV show and they said many episodes were shot there. I don't think it's used anymore. There's so much housing development that's gone up since around the '90s.

@@chrisharjo3875 Yeah,I'm pretty sure you're right about there being houses where Indian Dunes used to be. I know there's been houses for over 20 years where Sable Ranch used to be. I used to ride my bike back there where Haskell Canyon and Copper Canyon meet. They used to film the A-Team and a bunch of other stuff back there

My favorite Vincent Price movie is The Masque of the Red Death, it's also in my top 10 horror movies, Vincent is also possibly my favorite actor of all time or close to it, I'm definitely looking forward to this documentary!

You know it's too bad that Michael Jackson wasn't alive to do this documentary about Vincent Price and he can tell the story how he got his iconic voice for the song thriller. I mean the man is a true legend when it comes to horror movies.

From what I have heard the two had a kind of falling out because Vincent didn't get paid for doing the voice work on Thriller, all he got was a gold record or something like that. Of course this could be rumor, that was just something I heard.

Shannon I have heard that to and plus what I also heard is that Vincent Price's family took Michael Jackson to court over the royalties of the album since the reusing his iconic voice and they won and Michael Jackson paid the family too after all these years

Legend for murdering 3 people, 2 children included and get away with it. I'd say that is quite an impressive feat

@@lucifeers3219it's easy adacor21 to worship this bastard because her children not choped by helicopter Landi's guilt. I always though USA judical system is much high level than east Europe but I was wrong. In all world are rule if you have a money you can do what you want. For example in Serbia where i come tycoon son crushed girl on crosswalk with car. He was driving 150 km /h on crosswalk which had limitation 50 km/h and this man he was not in prison not a single day. It's scary how we ordinary peoples are powerless in this ruthles world.
