This song was on the self titled album "John Larkin" from 1986, copies of which are incredibly rare as it wasn't released commericially. This album was recorded for friends and family before the persona of "Scatman John" was born.

that scream at 1:17 hits so damn hard. that slow methodical buildup to it lends it so much weight. That buildup turns it from just anger to downright righteous indignation as he lays out exact specific reasoning for the anger he expresses.

I think a Fan from Russia who knows about sound mixing made a Fan Remaster of the songs from the album he removed that burning like sound that the original release and improved the sound and it sounds amazing. Here is the link if anyone is interested: rutracker.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4263507 all the songs are in Flac if you want you can convert them to a 320kpbs mp3 with audacity and also add the info and a 600X600 cover with mp3tag just like I did. just lick on Скачать раздачу по magnet-ссылке if you have Utorrent if anyone doesn't have Utorrent just get it.

Listening to boundary pushing music like this makes me think of extreme metalcore bands like infant annihilator both are so hardcore with seeing how far you can push a genre. I love this... Fuck the norm and getting big, this is my smurf account and I make absurd genre bending music on my other for less than 10 people because we all deserve better. I hope I die a nobody and make art for the lovers of it.

As avant-garde jazz goes, it's not really that extreme, mostly unusual because the use of vocals in this context

Not all that many with male vocalists that i can think of right now, maybe Phil Minton and Jaap Blonk but they're really more free improvisation / sound art than free jazz, then there's the likes of Meredith Monk who are even less jazz oriented.
