Public has wildly overestimated the federal government and the defense contractors --- it assumes that its made all sorts of tech advances and has all sorts of UFO research ongoing --- in fact the federal gov and its contractors are just feeding at the public trough -- it is a slow, lazy incompetent sloppy effort wherever you look --- it hides its sloppy work from the public very easily abusing its discretion, and always keeps the public in the dark about all of this stuff. I base this on my career in the federal gov 22 years, I found that it has contempt for the public, it overclassifies routinely. John Lear is one of the true OGs of the original UFO research movement. I was sad to see that he passed. He was a brave human being and pivotal in the disclosure movement.
