Im a grown woman and still feel motherless; lost her 8 years ago to cancer; no one can replace; no one. No 'mum' caller ID on the phone anymore; no words of comfort that can only come from that unconditional love; my mum would say dont worry, even when she knew she was dying; I hurt and miss her to this very day but her memory keeps me strong.

I Am A Motherless Child. Not Because I Lost My Mother. Not Because My Mother Is Nowhere To Be Found. But Because My Mother Is NOT A Mother , Yet Simply Someone Who Decided To Give Life To Hopeless Child. But I Still Manage To Smile. Even Through The Tears That I Cry Myself To Sleep In.

My mother was too broken to be a mother. I’m 38 years old & still yearn for a mum. My wedding day 5 years ago was one of the most lonely days of my life as I just wanted my mother. I want to hate her but secretly I want her to love me.

Bless you Darlin'! I know how you feel. I'm so sorry. Try not to blame her. Your Mother Can't talk about WHAT broke her. I know about that also. The world is full of "Walking Wounded"! Do your best to take care of You. That's All you can do Sweetie. It hurts , loving yourself is most important. You are already ahead of this situation because you recognize your Mum is Broken. I pray she can go for help but that is up to her. Love when you can , step back when needed. At least that's how I've always tried to handle my situation. You will be a goodother I'm sure. You already know what not to do and You ,whether you realize it or not, have been your own Mother for a long time now. Blessings my dear girl, my heart Knows yours! 💙🙏✌️💖

Sam I feel your pain like very very few can and its a confusing, empty, sometimes hopeless feeling funk that can engulf your spirit if you dont strive to resist. Ive been without my mom 59 out of 60 years. Today is Mothers Day which aids in compounding the ache of the mother n child reunion. But know this Sam I believe as do you that one day we are gonna get to be in the presence of our Heavenly Father n our earthly momma. Until that day Godspeed Sam!

I feel so distant from my mother. Never hearing the words "I love you" She lives in walking distance from my house and I had my first child and she has never visited, I had covid and I have never gotten a video call or a card or anything. I only ever hear from my mother when she wants MONEY everything is about money. I feel so alone even though she is alive. I am in a relationship but still feel alone, I don't need money, I don't need material things. Just my mother to hug me.

My mother was murdered when I was 3-4 years old. I was immediately adopted by my Father’s wife. She was so abusive I should have been removed from the home, but what happens in the home stays in the home. My birthmother was gentle and loving. I remember the smell of her hair. I thought she left me because no one explained to me she had been murdered. I waited for her everyday for years to come back. I thought I did something wrong and was not worthy of her nor her love. I miss my Mother. Lord I miss my momma!!

How about the people who actually went through this. It is about the history of the music. He is keeping it alive for new generations who don't know what a spiritual is. I don't see any of you doing anything. You just critize. Well if you kept the history alive you could come up with something yourself. Critics.
