Yes she was certainly the hardest working woman in show biz. I had the pleasure of seeing her perform at NJPAC in Newark NJ. This was a fabulous performance. Not only could she sang, she performed every dance from the Slop, Twist, Mash potato's, the Philly Dog and a few others.

I learned of Ms. Jones last night while watching her documentary on Netflix - I fell asleep before the ending, and learned of her passing today while searching for tunes on KZbin of Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings - SO SAD! Unfortunate for me, I had never known of her, nor the band, prior to last night. As I watched her fight her battle with cancer, all I could think was - what a fire ball, so strong, faith driven, and spunky! Rest in heaven with your loving mother Ms. Jones, and thank you for the music, love, and inspiration.

Don't you hate when you only hear of someone when they die OR don't realize their greatness until they are gone? Sharon is awesome. Got that 70s soul thing going. Heartbreaking to think that after all the hard work she put in she won't be able to reap ALL of the benefits of it. Fly High, Sharon!

yeah I wish I had known about Sharon before her death. I would watch her perform over anyone who is in the top twenty charts right now. Her energy is amazing, a great gal I bet. so sad as my battled the same cancer so i can imagine how hard those times and scary it was for this amazing lady. i will continue to listen to her from now on better later than never.
