I remember seeing John Legend for the first time... It was at Slims on 11th St. He said, "a lot of ya'll don't know who I am, do you?" Then he started singing short versions of all these really popular songs, and the crowd started singing along and cheering and then he said, "yeah, I wrote all of them!" What a cool night!
