Some people only come once in a lifetime. John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and so many others who contributed to music, film, art, literature and other areas, they'll never come again. Some of us are lucky enough to appreciate having lived in a time where these great people walked the Earth because they are irreplaceable. I mean, there might come a great songwriter in the future, but there can only be one John Lennon.

No matter how many years pass since John's death, the impact of losing such a brilliant mind and beautiful soul still stings as much now as it did then. I wish I could've had even five minutes to sit with John and talk. Hearing John's singing mixed in with modern covers always brings goosebumps to my skin because, although I know it's a simple dubbing of his recording over the singers, it's almost as if he's brought back to us for that tiny period of time. I don't like the Olymics, but I love John's work (just as I love Paul McCartney's, George Harrison's, and Ringo Starr's work). This really touched me, and I had to leave a short commemorative word for John.

Ian it is the egotistical world leaders such as Putin, May et all, not the ordinary peoples who love wars and the power of death over others.
@x2y3a1j56 жыл бұрын
rogerand out, 'm afraid, much afraid, there is actually an awful real big lot of ordinary people who do love war and the power of death. It's not just the big guys who are up to it. Many little people are up to it too. They not only do it to "perfect strangers" but also to their very brothers and sisters from the very same country, langauge, etc. who... well, think differently about some things.

I was at the Opening Ceremonies. Lower bowl front and centre. I received a text halfway through her song and for some reason I opened it. It was my son. "You're crying aren't you Mom?" Well of COURSE I'm crying! Angels were singing through her and it was one of the most magical performances I've ever seen in my life ❤️🙌🏽

*1940-1980.* We will always remember you John. I miss you ever so much, I’m sure the whole world does. You were only hoping for love and peace yet it never happened. I love you Mr. Lennon.

I was never alive to see John Lennon in the flesh. Still, it is incredible that his lasting impact, along with the rest of the Beatles, can influence the modern generation, even causing them to mourn. I wish Lennon was alive. I wish we could see an occasional get together between The Beatles. I feel it is so tragic that he was taken from both those alive with him, and those who could never truly experience him.

I was the right piece of the cheek puzzle in the John Lennon's head, I still can't quite believe I was there doing this routine, it was immense! The puzzle itself was quite heavy to carry and to manouvre but it looks lush indeed at the end! :D
