One of my favorite lines is when Paul says "Look at his sweater, she might have knitted it"....then John says "She knitted him".....and John's funny German dialect in the tub ...LOL...just so much fun to watch this film over & over thru the years. And you can see how much fun they had making it....having the time of their lives when all this world wide fame was new to them....Beatles 4 Ever 💜 : )))))))

Although much of Hard Day's Night was scripted from what the writer had heard or seen John was very much an ad libber making short comments up as they came to him. Ringo was the best "Actor" in the group, but John wasn't too far behind him. Even though they all admitted they didn't have a clue how to act.

Richard Vernon as Colonel Smithers from Goldfinger; both films from '64. It took me until I was in my late-twenties to figure it out. This was at Christmastime in 1983 when ABC TV first broadcast Goldfinger and we taped it on our (first and) brand new VCR.

Definitely see the weird quirky seeds of dialogue humor that the writers of Animaniacs got a lot of their ideas from. I know Wakko was especially inspired by Lennon and Harrison's accent and deadpan delivery, but you can see their flirty chaos energy here as well.
