Sorry, please raise your standards dancers, AND audience. When I watch dancing I want to be taken to a beautiful place. Dressing the part is essential! It shows pride and respect to the art, and to the viewers experience. Wasn’t thrilled with the song choice either, the dancing was above average, but not great. The people that comment here give too much undeserved praise, so yeah why try harder?🤷‍♀️

A bit elitist, much? This is human movement performed beautifully. It is accessible, showing age, size and expensive costumes are not regimented or limiting thereby encouraging anyone to participate.

Hmm... Well first off, I don't think it was recorded for your enjoyment. It was just recorded and stuck on KZbin. You are aware that this is a dance competition that's held at a festival, whereas the contestants are chosen and then paired with someone random... The dancing they're doing is completely improvised and on the spot.. They don't even know what song they'll get. And you don't have to be a professional to do it.. Nor is there a dress code. Because that's not what the judges are looking for.

@@Virgo_rising_411 Well if it’s recorded, and it’s a competition, it would be put on for people’s enjoyment. It showed up in my homepage because I have a history of watching dancers who perform in the street, (ballet or otherwise), who bring their art to everyone for free dressed beautifully and with amazing talent to bring a sense of wonder and to uplift the public. Yes, I could tell it was some sort of competition, and their partner was picked randomly. But your saying these are just random people attending a festival that have no idea a dance competition is going on and they get picked randomly not even knowing if they can dance or not? Or is it a dance competition they know is going to be at this festival and they hope to be picked? If it’s the first scenario, then yes, that’s different of course. My only point is that so much in our country has been dumbed down, and uglified, from architecture, to places of worship, dressing ourselves, etc.. These things ARE important to uplift morale, inspire, and create a national pride and aesthetic.
