If you didn't hear this then fyi, he said in an interview that he knew rudiments like a double stroke roll and when he heard double bass for the first time he assumed that's how they achieved those speeds, so he learned to play that way based on never seeing double bass played only hearing it 🤘🤘

Excellent video bro! I listened to an interview, where John talked about how his heal/toe evolved thanks to finding ways to play the music written by his guitarist (Paul) that kept getting faster and faster. John is an innovater and a beast!

John been doing it for for years , seen him live Origin,fill ins for The red chord,Dying Fetus,Exhumed,Hate Eternal,Gorguts,Misery Index,Dim Mak,Unmerciful list goes on lol . I remember seeing him first time in 2003 Origin Playing double bass standing up I’m like wtf lmao John is that guy . John set the bar in extreme death metal drumming in 2002 and so on. That guy will be chewing bubble gum and yawning playing drums hahaha
