even the cops knew and were investigating a lot of high powered people in government and the BBC, apparently MI6 came along and shut them down. basically told to stop investigating or else. So if the cops knew and could say nothing a guy like Johnny had no hope. Literally a case of going against the powers that be. Would you name names if it meant you'd probably disappear down a hole as soon as the words left your mouth? This aint just ratting out the local creepy old man here.

I agree, Mr Lydon's services to the British dairy industry are unparalleled. Without him I would still be putting margarine on my crumpets, however knowing that a forthright, outspoken and principled man such as John Lydon would never kowtow to market pressures and become a capitalist shill, we can all rest, safe in the knowledge that the sales of churned bovine breastmilk are so important that a former punk legend really should abandon all of the values he so loudly professed to hold dear in order to make sure we're all buying more fucking butter. Obviously, as per this video, he plans that there would only be "about five" people left to buy that butter, and there's only so much butter a person can eat so it's not like he's after the money or anything.

Onmysheet That's bullshit. Many of his victims were the only ones who spoke out. The parents of the girl who killed herself spoke out. They went to police. They made allegations. I am sure I speak for many other kids of my generation in the 70s who didnt know why, for all his charity, something didnt ring true about Saville. Then as I grew older I thought may be his persona was an ironic statement which was way over my head. But after his death the rumours that started echoed perhaps the instinct I had about him - or they didnt suprise me. Kids, always trust your instincts and walk or run away, or scream for help- whatever it takes to keep you safe, even when your instincts are wrong. We all have instincts for a reason, listen to them, because one abuse is all it takes.

Especially as she states the interview will be edited / libellous comments rescinded. It's clear she , like others, knew and wasn't willing to discuss it. Probably because Savile was feared.

I was in Jersey a few months ago, and in a Chinese restaurant a handful of people over 70, all speaking in crisp RP accents, were sat around a table. My family and I tried to listen without being noticed, once we heard one say something about John Cleese being the most obnoxious man they'd ever had to work with... and then they mentioned Jimmy Saville... "of course, a lot was said at the time" a man said, before a woman hushed him up and warned him that people might hear... A lot was known. The MPs were at it too. There was, and still is, a class of untouchable people who are above the law in this country: an establishment drenched in worse secrets than this, no doubt. And this is sickening.

John Lydon put up an act with the sex pistols . It worked perfectly everyone thought he was a lowlife yobbo. In actual fact he is a vert intelligent man and when Piers Morgan did his life story it was fascinating. He told the BBC in the 70s about Saville and they banned him for speaking g out about a "national treasure ". How the BBC had the cheek to make that programme about Saville after protecting him beggers belief

The interview from 1978 can be found here on KZbin which Lydon says he wants to kill 200 famous people including Mick Jagger and Savile. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Lydon was not banned from the BBC in 1978. He was banned from live interviews. All the videos below can be found on KZbin He is on Juke Box Jury in 1979. TOTP in 1979 - Deaths Disco TOTP in 81 - Flowers of Romance Savile died on 29 Oct 2011. His crimes were exposed nearly a year later by the ITV Exposure programme broadcast on 3 Oct 2012. John was only about 20 years old at this time. Didn’t give a fuck about what he was “supposed” to do because some man in a suit said so. He was gonna do precisely what he wanted to do, and if that was to talk about a massive pedo then so be it. It’s funny that he knew that the interview would get buried and not be allowed out to the public domain. I’m still not sure why the bbc bosses have never stood trial for covering it all up. It’s obvious just from this interview that the commissioning editor of bbc television or radio, wherever this exert came from. Heard it & didn’t broadcast it and the only reason would be to protect Savile. Why they aren’t in prison…. I don’t know. Also King Charles, he should also be in prison. Let an old man rape schoolgirls for 40 years.

My dad understood when I didn't want to go near him at 87 Corby Highland gathering. Creepy. He was repping hard for bbcr1 back then. He was their golden boy. I always felt when Johnny speaks on film, close your eyes. Does it feel like a real scene in a pub between you and a mate? Believable in every detail? Yeah. Man doesn't lie. He was too off his head on drink and fun things to remember lies. It would be hard work too. Honesty is quick, simple and brutal sometimes. He only listed people who already sold their soul.
