I am divorced with 3 children. I have seen the damaged I caused in my marriage. I have three children and damaged their right to have a mom and dad in the same household. I was saved during this dark time and now my x-wife is living a sinful life. I have not move forward with any woman since my wife. I had two Christian brothers that saved me from lustful behavior with women. I love Christ for saving me and now my wife is lost and the kids are damaged by this. My dear please understand that a repentant heart is a blessing from the Lord, a calling from Him, a granting to come back to Him. Please note psalm 23:3 "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." See? He restores our souls and for His own names honor and sake He will lead us in paths of righteousness. He will not let us go, but will restore us and teach us righteousness. This is a comfort to know that He will invest in us righteousness and call us to his ways.

Holiness is the great need of God's people at this time in Western society since it is so lacking. I disagree with MacArther on one point in his excellent introduction and that is this. Many churches don't preach on those profound scriptures that he alluded to. My son attends a Baptist church that knows almost nothing of a Bible centered message on the teaching of Holiness as Pastor MacArthur shared. There are some churches that preach the whole counsel of God without flinching, but many of the other so-called churches that make up the majority of this country wouldn't touch those scriptures with a ten foot pole, sadly , that is the predicament we're in today. Spineless preaches that don't preach about holiness of life boldly with authority and without excuse. God have mercy on this nation and raise up real men of God that will give the people the whole counsel of God, and do it with power not flinching back from the call.

Here lies the problem. We have heard so much that we are not saved by keeping the law that people have gotten the idea it’s not required to obey Yehovah’s instruction. I like the direction of the sermon. But the preacher seemed to vacillate on whether the conscience was objective or not. Also, using Greek analogies to describe the conscience is already going down the path of separating the self from the soul. If indeed every human has a conscience, then it must be objective and good, never bad, and it must have something to do with the measure of truth that the Holy Spirit gives freely; that includes understanding of the word of God, not just knowing it. Lastly, there is a difference between conviction and guilt, and it can be said that guilt is the pain the ego (false sense of self) feels when battling with a person's conscience...conviction however is something Godly and inspirational. So, either the conscience is objective or not...if it can be both objective and subjective then so is morality.
