Dr. MacArthur is preaching the truth! God said that "obedience is better than sacrifice." When one invites Jesus to be his/her personal Savior, that person "signed up" for spiritual warfare! I was raised as a Southern Baptist. While the Baptists were thorough on teaching many truth of God's Word, I believe that they failed (at least for me) in strong teaching about Spiritual Warfare. When I became a member of several non-denominational churches, I learned the DEPTH of God's Word that I hadn't known before. Jesus wants ALL OF ME! The struggle is real. One major area for me is effectively taking every thought captive, casting down vain imaginations, and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. There's a lot of truth in MacArthur's message! It's one that I "must" listen to over and over, until I get it deep down in my spirit. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit who teaches truth, convicts of sins, and is always with me!

I am sure John M is very concerned very much about all Human Souls.. Hence his being a Pastor. Right now in this sermon he has to be specific to the very important choice of Gov . N using the word of the Lord to encourage, making Abortion seem supported by God's word is à grave Sin. Especially leading people down the wrong path. Making the slaughter of so many innocent babies seem acceptable to the Lord. To what end, I believe all for "MONEY " and his own popularity, and acceptance of people. Making it all the more concerning. Wanting acceptance of the world over the Lord. Which his holding such a view in a very Public and extensive reach to the public makes it all the MORE Perilous, causing the misleading message to many others. That might not have seen or heard his Lies . TY Dr. MacArthur for truly caring and Loving for others . I followed Messianic Hebrew Roots doctrines for 14 years. This led me into a religious Charismatic cult. I'm struggling mightily to understand obedience to Christ through that influence. To my horror, I fear I've fallen into a terminal case of antinomianism of some sort. I want to obey The Lord with all my heart and soul...that was my motivation in keeping Sabbath and Biblical feasts....but they way it was taught in the Messianic community began to be distorted. I'm undone...don't know how to obey in spirit and in truth. Oh Lord....help my confused and corrupted soul.

You have been so led to focus on all the rituals and not the essence of the good news. It's this simple: when Adam fell, all of us fell and were separated from God and from entry into heaven. We developed a sinful nature. "There are none who do good, no, not even one." None of us can enter heaven by our works. Our good works are "as filthy maxi pads before the Lord." The good news is that Jesus was able to reconcile us back to God the Father by paying the fine for our sins. His righteousness was applied to us, and He paid the fine for our sins. We now are able to come boldly before the throne of God covered in the righteousness of Jesus. What must we do to be saved? We must turn from our sins, repent, and put our faith in Jesus as our Savior. We are saved by faith alone in Christ ALONE. It is by GRACE that we are saved, a gift of God....NOT by works, lest any man should boast. Works come only as a sign of salvation because the Lord puts in us a new spirit and new desires that create a whole new nature and character. We now seek to do what is pleasing to God and now hate our sins. If you acknowledge that you are a wretched sinner who can never save yourself, and put your faith in the righteousness of Jesus alone to save you, and turn to God in genuine repentance, asking for forgiveness and salvation...that is the essence of the gospel. I was in a different false church than you before Jesus opened my eyes through His Holy Spirit. I begged God to show me the truth about who He was and the things I was doing. He answered my prayer and saved my soul. I have never ceased serving Him or thanking Him.
