Wasn’t gonna buy this but I craved and got it for the Switch, as per most games I’ve re bought for the switch it’s for handheld mode and nostalgia lol. Didn’t know you was making a play through for this, let’s goooooo! Absolutely treasure these games myself, I agree it should have been way cheaper as it’s just a port. My horse during that race wouldn’t go across the bridge would just run off the canyon, had to do the race 3 times to finish it 😂

Just thinking, you said on the train that John would be pissed hearing those conversations about Native Americans considering his friendship with Charles, but do you think this game had all the events of rdr2 in mind? Obviously all the stuff about not wanting to bring up Arthur makes sense, but do you think things and events from rdr2 like Charles were already thought of and have an impact on rdr1? or just coincidence lol

I’m sure that they should be saved for Jack Marstons play through. It adds flavor of character development of him. Besides. Realistically I’m sure John Marston was more focused on his mission towards killing his former gang and getting his family back. That he doesn’t bother doing those stranger missions. It wouldn’t be in character if John when he’s so focused on his family Kidnapped by the federal agents.

As much as I want to get this game, I still going with my plan of waiting for a discount. As I don’t want to pay the full price. 50 dollars for this game that isn’t remastered is not worth the price. I am gonna wait till the price drops down. Either for the digital or physical version. While I can understand the multiplayer being cut is upsetting for some, I don’t see myself playing it. Heck, I remember playing RDR1 on the PS3 and I play the single player mode a lot more than I did with the online portion. So, for me, it is either take it or leave it. But otherwise, I am just gonna wait.

i don´t see why everyone is complaining and hating on that port. it´s like everyone took rumors and clickbait as fact and is now salty that it´s not a remaster or remake like what they made up in their mind. it was just supposed to be a port. and it a good one at that! like i see many positive reviews, it seems to be fairly polished. like not many if any game breaking bugs or issues like the trilogy. even old original bugs got fixed! like headless zombie bug in Undead Nightmare for example.

​ @HakoDev yeah the 60 fps critism can be understood. but on the other hand the port is a VERY stable 30 fps on both Playstation and Switch even. even at native res. i am not sure that would have been possible just as solid at 60. and imo a very stable 30 which doesn´t drop, is better than a 60 that jumps around constantly i still think a lot of people are just hating it bc they ran with the remake/remaster rumors, and hyped themselve up. there are differences and nice changes. like the theater movies got doubled in resolution. i honestly wouldn´t be surprised if audio is slightly higher quality. and comparison videos that obviously is just a different weather. with some it really does feel like they want to put it in a bad light. it´s a port, of course there aren´t any big differences. but doesn´t mean it´s bad or awful from the symbols they accidentally left in the switch executable, we even saw that they replaced a lot of old R* functions to port it possibly
