Most people miss the little detail where Arthur notices her taking a peek into the rifle and he immediately reacts by gently pushing the barrel to the side. A gun safety rule he gave her so subtle, which made it so much more realistic lol

I just wanted happiness for Arthur. I doubt she would have been over losing her husband enough to be in another relationship. Im sure Arthur would have respected that.

Act man genuinely has made a great point Red dead redemption two was so great that it leaves little room for a red dead 3 (because it’ll have to be part of the first 2 games, if not it needs a different name)

tip: set off a week or so to play the game and dont watch anything about rdr2 if the story isnt already spoiled for you. Just play the game throughout, I never got to experience the game without spoilers but if you dont have them already just dont watch anything on youtube about rdr2, and try to enjoy the game.

@@Pnwexplorations it unfortunately doesn't actually make a difference, hard to think that if the game let you wear a bandana or if Arthur had a bottle of peroxide then the story would've been way different

I think she was the cut love interest for Arthur. Rockstar has said there was another love interest for him other than Mary but they ended up cutting it later in production. Some of the early scenes between these too, such as the scene where he teaches her how to shoot have an old Hollywood sense of sexual tension underneath. I think initially they planned the two to fall for each other but Arthur would have to realize that going through with it would break her heart since he doesn’t have much time left, and he’s already broken one persons heart whom he cared about and wants to redeem himself of that guilt. I think they ultimately cut it because they thought thematically it was unnecessary given the Mary subplot touches on the same points more or less and adding another subplot would muddy the focus of the story. Still I often wonder who it was planned to be. The three that I’ve suspected the most are this lady, Sadie, and Tilly, with this lady being most likely and Sadie being least likely.

Tried doing this side mission the other day (in my second play through) and I shot the wolves that attack you a bit too early, and she ran off because I guess they weren’t attacking yet. I went back as John after I finished the main story and she was dead in her house 😭
