Everything about this video is perfect. How he doesn’t even seem to try and sing the melody in the verses. The error message showing up on the big screen. The completely baffled faces of the audience (the one guy at 2:18 getting very into it with a girl looking deeply uncomfortable next to him). I love John Maus

Saw him in boston like 5 years ago or whenever was after his brother died and he started playing solo without a band. it was the best show ive ever seen. He put any other show in the dirt. The emotion and heart and pain in the venue when he performs is surreal. Like a shared therapy experience. Ive never felt like ive shared both pain, relief and release with such a large crowd like i did there.
@emnigmamachine11 жыл бұрын
I'd love to see him with a full backing band but I don't think he has the resources to fund that kind of tour. But I kinda like the strange "performance art" style of his shows. Also I've noticed that the worse the crowd is the crazier he acts and if their into it he just stands still.
@RiczVeloce7 жыл бұрын
Saw him performing with a band last Week, it was Very Intense, but He was more Calm. He is An Amazing Artist. My favourite, nowadays.
@alyosha9175 жыл бұрын
Very astute! You're completely right that there is an inverse relationship with how crazy the crowd is and how crazy Maus is. I think part of it is Maus' nerves when the crowd is calm, as he perceives it as them not liking the show so he just lets his emotions run wild. He tends to be a very expressive, anxious person so this completely makes sense.

This is so fucked up. John puts his own song on play and then sings over it. He could make the effort of taking the voice and let the beat and then live sing it but no, he doesnt give a shit about that. I loved it xD

Certain songs sound much better recorded in the studio and not so great live. This live version is not what I expected at all. I will still give credit to the artist for his originality. When I hear this song I prefer the recorded version.

weird stuff. love his music, though. as far as i can tell, though. it's pretty much him singing an octave above the original track, which is playing in the background. it's like karaoke without actually being karaoke. if i were him, i'd find a way to make live performances more worthwhile...
