Saw a show in Boston and he literally said "take any vinyl you want" (for free) and I handed him cash and just said thank you and he signed all of them. One of the most hard working/passionate musicians you'll meet.

John maus is the embodiement of the welsh word "Hiraeth" :a yearning or nostalgia for a place that never existed or will never exist again. Discovered him with the song "copkiller" and cant get enough of this mystery of a man. Thank you for existing and creating, John Maus

I’m very happy to see him not ‘jack-knifing at the waist’ here, and I hope he never does that again. The worst thing in the world is to throw out your back. Self-injury is unnecessary to this great music. This is so much better - a direct focus on singing, and in the presence of supporting musicians. This is the best live video of John I’ve seen yet, thank you - and thank you John, for going easier on your body.

7:16 I love how the guy has to take a breath in the middle of the album's name.

Loved every moment although I've never seen him so subdued both during the performance and interview.

I wish this was an hour long. I just revisited the we must become album and was like "oh yeah I forgot, this is the best music ever made." Now I've listened to only that album for the last month. It's become almost an obsession. I feel that soon enough I will turn into some type of Howard Hughes character, only instead of locking myself in a room with 3 inch long fingernails and surrounded by Mason jars full of my piss, I'll be listening to that album in my shower with headphones on or while I'm in line at the grocery store. There has got to be a support group for this right?
