The first time I saw John Mayall - indeed the first gig I ever went to - was at the Fishmongers' Arms, Wood Green, and the line-up was exactly the same as here - Mick Taylor, Paul Williams, Keef Hartley, Chris Mercer and Dick Heckstall-Smith. Afterwards in Wood Green tube station I saw Mick Taylor and his girlfriend along the platform from me waiting for the train home - a far cry from his later days in the Stones, eh? God, the nostalgia. What a lovely find.

I started watching Mayall in 1965 and have seen many concerts since. He really was one of the founding fathers of the British Blues Revival and produced so many players in his various Bluesbrakers. So sad I shall him no more in the UK. Thank You John

1967, what a magical year to be young cool and beautiful. Well at least I was young, it took me a couple of more years to catch up with the counter culture by which time it was almost burnt out; it took mr another 10 years to grow out of it and get my hair cut short. Happy days of misery for me.

Just came across this. Amazing! Thank you so much. John Mayall had just released the "Crusade" album in September and some of the gigs done in the months after this TV-apperance made up the coming "Diary of a Band Vol 1 & 2" albums. Again - Thanks a million. Wouldn't it be a total knock out if the actual TV broadcast would surface?
